On The Right Time

CHAPTER 28

A smile curved into my lips once I saw the shop. I immediately pulled over, got my keys and wallet then I got out of my car. A good and warm smell lingered in my nose when I entered the flower shop. A good ambiance with different types of flowers and colors greeted me.

"Hi, good morning! What can I get for a beautiful lady like you?" A middle-aged woman greeted me. She's beautiful and has this welcoming aura.

"Good morning," I smiled warmly. "I actually have no idea what to get." Turan ko at nagsimulang maglakad para tingnan ang mga bulaklak.

"Ohh, is it for your mother?" Tanong nito habang nakasunod sa akin.

Umiling ako habang sinisipat ang mga bulaklak. "For someone…" I roamed my eyes to the other side of the shop and something caught my eyes. I walked towards it. "...so special to me."

"A ponies," Tukoy niya sa bulaklak na tinitingnan ko ngayon. Kumuha ako ng isang stem nito at inilapit sa ilong ko. "The rarest flower to give. It symbolizes love, honor, happiness, romance and beauty."

Ibinalik ko ang flower sa lagayan at saka may ngiti sa labing lumingon sa kanya.

"I'll get a bouquet of it."

Ngumiti ito at saka tumalima. Magiliw na nagkukuwento ito habang inaarange ang flowers. Ang bait bait niya kaya nakagaanan ko siya ng loob, naikwento niya sa akin na nagsimula daw itong flower shop niya noong pumanaw ang kanyang asawa. Parehas daw kasi silang mahilig sa bulaklak kaya ito ang naisip niyang pagkaabalahan para daw kahit lumipas na ang maraming taon ay manatili pa rin daw sa kanya ang mga ala-ala nilang mag-asawa.

"Thank you, I hope your special someone would love it." I smiled and bid my goodbye.

I entered the elevator and immediately tapped the upper floor button. I smiled and sigh, silently praying that everything will go well. Everything moves pretty fast and I just found myself standing in front of her door.

I pressed the doorbell button and waited for a response. But minutes have already passed but I'm still standing here. My forehead creased and pressed the button again.

I made sure to check her schedule before I went here. That's why I'm pretty sure that she doesn't have duty today. But maybe she went out. Napabagsak na lang ang balikat ko sa isiping iyon. I turned around and was about to walk out of here but the door suddenly opened revealing a pretty woman with her messy hair.

Her eyes are half open and I'm pretty sure that she's still disoriented of what's currently happening. My eyes went down and I realized that she's only wearing a bathrobe, bahagya pa itong nakalihis sa kanya dahil obviously natulog siya ng ito lang ang suot. We heard a bark, her eyes went wide.

"Scarlett?" Her deep voice made me gulp.

Sexy morning voice.

"Hi," I awkwardly said. "Can I come?" Napatango ito, mukang wala pa sa sarili.

Niluwagan niya ang bukas ng pinto kaya pumasok ako, a smile crept into my lips when I saw Scottie. Tumahol tahol ito sa akin habang kumakawag ang buntot, probably greeting me. I can't pat his head dahil parehong may hawak ang mga kamay ko.

I heard Jasmine faking a cough.

"Uh, I bought you breakfast…" Itinaas ko sa harap namin ang paper bag na hawak-hawak ko. "...and flowers." Inilahad ko naman ang flowers na hawak ko sa isa ko pang kamay.

Nakatanga lang ito sa akin at parang nasa malalim na pag-iisip. "Lasing pa ba 'ko?" Napatawa ako sa naging tanong nito.

Napahawak ito sa sarili niyang bibig marahil ay dapat para sa utak niya lang siguro ang naibulalas niya.
