Chapter 13

You said What Now? 😳😳

"Don't you look sexy." Nicholas said opening the door to his car.

"Thank you." I said

"You've acted weird all night. What's wrong?" He asked.

"Nothing's wrong." I told him.

"So what do we have to talk about?" He asked.

"Can we get to the table first?" I asked.

"Whatever you'd like." He said. "Reservations for Arrigucci." He told the woman.

"Right this way sir."she said leading us to the table.

"Thank you." He said as he pulled out my seat.

"Oh you're more than welcome." She told him winking her eye.

After she left, it was an awkward silence. No waitress came to take our orders because apparently he comes here all the time and gets the same thing.

"So do you bring all your women here?" I asked aloud.

"Who said you were my woman?" He asked.

I nodded my head. "You're right. I'm not." I said.

He laughed. "You get upset easily.
The answer is no. I come here with the family. It's one of my uncles restaurant."

I nodded my head. "Nice." I said

"Why are you like that?" He asked.

"Like what?" I asked.

"Like that. Snappy. Like you're just waiting for someone to hurt you or fuck your life up." He said.

"I'm sorry I'm just. Stressed out a little." I admitted.

"Is that what you want to talk to me about?" He asked.

"Yes, it's exactly what I -"

"Wine Mr.Arrigucci?" The waitress asked.

"Yes please." he said. She nodded her head and put wine inside of his glass.

"You Ma'am?" She asked.

"No, no thank you." I said. "Water is fine." I said.

She nodded and headed towards the kitchen I'm guessing.

"Ava." He said. I looked up instantly.

"I'm sorry in really nervous. I need something to drink." I said.

"Have some of this. She will bring you something soon." He said.

"No no wine. I'm not good at holding my liquor." I said.

"I get it. No more drunk sex for
You" he said

"Wait, you remember everything!" I asked.

"Yeah. I was sober." He shrugged.

"So let me get this straight. You were sober and-" I was cut off once again.

Damn Waitress!

"So what you need to tell me now?" He asked.

I took a gulp of my water and breathed out. "Nicholas, I'm pregnant." I said.

He looked stunned. "I'm sorry. Pardon?" He asked.

"Nicholas you've heard me." I said.

"So you're telling me. You're pregnant? As in with child?" He asked.

I rolled my eyes. "fuck it." I said about to stand up.

"Wait. I'm sorry. It's just that I'm shocked. " He said grabbing my arm tightly. I closed my eyes, breathing in and out to calm my nerves down.

"Yeah, I was too." I said returning to my seat.

We sat in silence, when our food came we ate. I could see that he was thinking.

Once we were done with dinner, he allowed me to get dessert and then we left.

"Ava, you're pregnant wearing heels?" He asked once we left out of the restaurant.

"Yes. So?" I asked.

"Ava, you're carrying our baby. What if you would have fell?" He asked grabbing my hand.

"I'm not going to. I can't wear heels when I get further in this pregnancy because I'll start walking differently due to weight gain. I haven't gained any weight." I said.

"Yes you have. You gain one to two pounds every week you're pregnant in the first trimester." He told me.

"Okay, fine." I said. "I won't wear any dang heels." I said annoyed.

"Good." He said as we pulled out of valet.

We continued our ride and reached my home in an half hour tops.

"So, I thought about the baby." He said.

"And?" I asked nervously.

"Well first, I'm happy that we are gonna be parents. I've always wanted a baby, it's just that I was a little shocked at first." He said.

"I know. I was too but later for that, we need to figure out what we are gonna do." I said unbuckling myself and turning towards him.

"Wait, what you mean what we gonna do. I know what we aren't gonna do and that's get rid of my child." He said

"No, that's not what I meant. I meant how are we gonna tell our parents, because I'm pregnant and I don't want to-"

He cut me off."Marry me Ava."
He said fastly.
