Chapter 17 || Nicknames

(Quick A/N: If I were to name the chapter something else it would just give it all away, anyways happy reading :p)

Neon giggled like she always does, "Anyways," She said stuffing another piece of bread in her mouth, "I'll leave you guys to it,"

She started walking away, "Oh, also, you might need to go shopping, I stole a LOT of your food," Neon gestured to her very full bag, "Byeeeeeeeeee,"

She walked away and I heard the front door open and close again, "Wow, that was the shortest interaction I've ever had with her," I mumbled refocusing on my book

Time passed and I continued reading until a small voice spoke up, "Killua," Gon said rubbing his eyes, "You're very comfortable,"

"Thank you bub," I said resting my hand on his head

"I like that nickname, bub," He repeated sitting up

I laughed a little, "I'm glad,"

"Okok, my turn, lemme think," He scratched his head for a second, "I got it, how about,"

Gon paused, still thinking, "Darling," He said in a sort of low 'seductive' tone of voice

As soon as the word left his mouth my face went bright red. I brought the book up to my face in an attempt to hide my blush only for him to peer over it with a smug smile. He laughed in amusement and took the book out of my hands, "You're so cute when you're flustered," He said smashing our cheeks together as he pulled me into a hug

Don't stutter

"Sh-shut up Gon,"

GODDAMMIT! CHRIST! FUCK!

We sat like that for a second then all of a sudden he cupped my face with both hands and kissed me. My eyes widened and he pulled away, a red tint covering his cheeks, "Sorry, was that too soon," He asked rubbing the back of his neck still blushing

I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him again, for longer this time. "How's that for an answer," I said way more confidently than I felt

At this point, the two of us were as red as a couple of cherries. Gon flopped down his face resting in the crook of my neck, "That was way too awkward for no reason," He whined, his voice muffled by my shoulder

I agreed, my voice small but audible. I rested my head on his and we sat like that for a few moments then I spoke up, "Sooo, Neon kinda stole all our food so we might have to go to the grocery store," I said chuckling a bit

Gon laughed a little too, "Yeah, she's definitely the type of person that would do that!"

"Whelp, I still got some homework to do so imma go back to my room," he said slowly getting up, "Love you,"

And with that, he kissed me again and left the room. I didn't even have time to respond before he left so I just sat there. I sat there, my book draped across my thigh, my cheeks still bright red.

I sighed, just sitting here is useless, I need to get some fresh air. I got up and grabbed my camera and keys then headed out the door. I walked down each flight of stairs fairly slow until I reached the bottom.

Kurapika seemed to notice me walking out the front door and rushed after, "Hey Killua, how are you? You look a bit red, are you feeling ok?" He asked slinging a backpack over his shoulder

"Huh, I'm fine just flustered is all," I replied offering a nervous smile

"Oh? Now, why is that," He asked walking close next to me

"No reason in particular, it's just, gonandijustkissedforthefirsttimeanditwasreallyawkward," I said mumbling the last part

"Really?" Kuarpika asked tucking a piece of his hair behind his ear, "Huh, I never would've thought Gon would make the first move,"

He stopped walking for a second and I paused to look back at him, "Wait, YOU AND GON KI--"

As soon as I heard him yelling I reached and covered his mouth with the palm of my hand, "Could you be any louder?" I whisper yelled

"Sorry sorry," He replied in a hushed tone as I removed my hand from his mouth, "Are you two dating or what?"

"Yeah, for a couple days now," I started walking again

He ran up after me and put his hand on my shoulder, "Congratulations bud! I'm gonna be honest here, I never would've thought you two would get together," Kurapika said with a small laugh

"Now let cycle back to that little kiss you were talking about earlier," He said causing me to blush, "Are you out here only for the sake of avoiding your dorm,"

"Maybe," I said glancing over at him

"Well don't, if experience has taught me anything. Don't run away from your problems, especially if they're love related,"

"Wow, thanks," I said a little bit more sarcastically than I meant to

"Anyways, where are you going," He asked as we continued walking

"Oh, on my first day I was wandering around and found this little garden that I go to every so often," I said stuffing my hands into the pockets of my jeans, "We're actually almost there,"

"Ooooh, fun!" He said clapping his hands silently

"Wanna, make a bet," I asked laughing

"Depends, what're we betting on," He asked as we entered the little garden

"Ok, how long do you think it will take for Gon to realize I'm gone and come looking for me," I said flopping down under the tree, "I'm betting about like half an hour,"

"Hmmm, let's say 15 minutes, considering you've already been gone for around 10 minutes," He said setting down his bag

"Let's shake on it," I said, "Whoever loses owes the other 20 bucks,"

He took my hand and giggled, "Deal,"

I just love how I'm constantly updating this story but completely ignoring my other ones :3
