"Peeta... I we did it! We actually helped persuade them to say no!" Katniss cries with pride. Peeta pulls Katniss close to him and gives her a passionate kiss before pulling away. "I think I will go and make a cake to celebrate!" Katniss giggles before replying " I think you should make Haymitch's favourite, seen as he did most of the hard work!" Peeta nod in agreement and heads to the kitchen to prepare.
Once Haymitch returned Katniss ran out of the house and gave him a hug before whispering thank you in his ear. Haymitch hugged her back and whispered "my pleasure sweetheart!" They both return to the Mellark's residence where they celebrate that the hunger games not returning. The Mellarks lived happily in district 12 opposite Haymitch with relief that they were safe. They got the results that they wanted and the Hunger Games was not restarted... Until 9 years later...
