Chapter 13

Adele's POV

A/N-
~Another Shorter Chapter~
~As a warning, there may be some kissing appearing between two characters, and if it bothers you, you may skip along to the next chapter.~

I had walked down the hallway to find Antony, to try to talk to him, to see what has been going on lately. Something was off between everyone, and I was determined to find out.

As I passed Raleigh's room, I saw him with her, kissing her forehead.

A crashing noise, like a thud, came from Jem's room across the hall.

I quickly sprint into the first room with an open door, hiding behind a big cabinet.
I peeked out of the creak of the door, just in time to see Tessa head into her room, and to see Antony pass by where I had just been standing, heading onto his room.

"What on earth?" A voice says from behind me.

I jump, my natural reflexes kicking in, and I accidentally hit them.

"Ow," They complain, and I see Ashton's red locks in my peripheral.

"I'm sorry," I say. "I didn't mean to-"

Ashton cuts me off.
"What are you doing in my room?"

I blush slightly, forcing myself not to talk about Antony.
He has been my crush for the longest time. But now with Raleigh... I don't know what has happened.

"I had been walking around and saw Jessamine walking around, so I dove in here so she wouldn't see me. She also was wearing men's clothes."

"Men's clothes?" Ashton asks, looking appalled. "But she criticised me earlier about them..."
Ashton looks slightly upset.

"Hey, it's alright, I wouldn't worry about Jessamine too much,"

Ashton nods.
That's when I realise how close she is to me.

"Ash-" I'm about to ask, getting cut off as she fits her lips to mine, kissing me softly.

Hers are so soft as if I was kissing silk.
I surprisingly kiss her back, and Ash's blue eyes widen.

She kisses me hungrily, with a passion I haven't felt before from anyone.
I am about to wrap my arms around her waist when the two of us hear loud footsteps pass by and we both break apart in a flash.

I feel my flushed cheeks and swollen lips, realising I enjoyed that immensely.

I am so confused.
Ashton looks just as confused as me, running her hands through her hair, the strands I had just messed up when we pulled each other closer.

"I'm sorry," She apologises. "I should've asked first-"

I cut her off by placing a swift kiss on her lips before running off to find Rose.
Maybe she can make sense of this and help me out.

~

I reach Rose's room, knocking on the door slowly.

Rose opens the door, her footsteps very loud without socks on.
Her blue and white hair is pulled into a short ponytail.

"I need to talk to you immediately," I say.
She sees the immediate need in my eyes.
Rose lets me inside and I flop onto her bed, screaming into the pillow.

"What's wrong?" She asks, sitting on the bed next to me.

I sit up.

"I almost made out with Ashton."
Rosalie gasps.
"Ashton? As in the red-headed girl on our squad?"

I nod.
Rosalie makes a squeal, along with a string of incoherent words.
She probably has been spending too much time with Aunt Emma and Aunt Isabelle.

I push her gently.
"I am so confused right now Alie! Stop squealing!"

Rose stops.
"So do you like her?"
I shrug.
"I-I guess you would say I am attracted to her. But I was attracted to Antony first!"

"Ewwww not my brother," Rosalie complains.
She chuckles. "But you can be attracted to more than one person Addie. Perhaps you are attracted to both genders? I'm pansexual, so I understand the confusion you could be going through."

I nod, holding my head in my hands.

"What was it like?" Rosalie asks. "The kiss?"
"It was soft, like silk," I confess.
She giggles.
"And what was kissing my brother like?"

I give a dramatic gasp.
"How did you know?"

"That night with the van, after the party. It was very obvious."

Rosalie lays down.

"It was that obvious?"
I blush.
She nods.

I groan.
"His lips felt different, not as soft."

Rosalie squeals again, making more ewwww noises.
I push her again, groaning to myself.

"Love is hard and annoying."

She sighs.
"Yes, Adele, it really is."
