Chapter 39

Danielle's POV

"So Miss Savre" the police officer said "Can you call me Danielle please because this is making me sound old" I said "Okay Danielle I am Sarah and this is Jessica we just need to get a statement from you about the events of tonight" Sarah said "Okay" I said nodding my head "now we have a few statements here from the bartender and some people who witnessed the altercation" Jessica said "just tell us as much as you remember okay" she added. "He wouldn't stop harassing  me all night long , he tried to dance with me and I told him to leave me alone then I kissed my fiancé and he asked to join in, then I went to the bar to get us some drinks and he came up to me again and tried to buy the drinks for me which I politely declined and said I already told him to leave me alone and then he said he couldn't resist a piece of ass like mine and then he wrapped his arm around me and squeezed my ass" I said and then took a deep breath. "Do you need to take a little break" Jessica asked "No I am okay" I confirmed "Stefania came over when he wouldn't remove his hand off of me and punched him, and yes I understand she didn't have to do that but she did it to protect me" I said as they wrote some things down in there notebooks. "Look your statement seems to match everyone else's but his, he said you couldn't get enough of him" Sarah said "I am happily engaged to the love of my life, we are getting married in 7 months, we have a beautiful house and are both very successful actors we are trying for a baby and have the perfect life I can assure you I was not going after him" I said. "Thank you Danielle, we are going to talk to your friends out there but at this point I don't think charges will be pressed against your fiancé" Jessica said. "I want to add something before I go, Stefania doesn't have a mean bone in her body usually I was in a relationship for a while where I was constantly physically, mentally and emotionally abused and Stefania isn't like that, she makes me feel safe she wouldn't even hurt a fly, she only did this for me and she is having surgery right now because of me so i need to go and check how she is doing... um here is my card if you need any assistance with anything give me a call" I said "Did you report your abuser" Jessica asked "I didn't" I said "Why is that if you don't mind me asking" she said "He would be able to fine where I live and my phone number, he already shows up at my work from time to time I don't need him at my house and harassing me by phone every day" I said before walking out of the small room.

Stefania's POV

"Dan...Danielle... where is Danielle" I panicked "Hey Stefania welcome back" the doctor said "go and get Danielle now please" she said to one of the nurses "Your surgery went really well you are going to have to be in that cast for at least 6 weeks though" she said "Six weeks" I questioned "six weeks" she confirmed. "Hi, how are you feeling" Danielle said as she walked through the door "tired" I replied "how is she" Danielle asked the doctor "she is fine her hand is all fixed the cast she will need for a minimum of 6 weeks, I will leave you two alone I will be back later to check on you" she said before leaving the room. "I'm sorry Danielle" I said "stop apologising" she scoffed "Danie..." I went to say "no Stefania just stop please, I was just interviewed by the police okay you will be lucky if chargers aren't pressed against you" she said "I'm so glad you are okay I am but I just need some time to think this all through okay" Danielle said as tears started to fill her eyes "Think what through" I asked "this whole thing" she said "our relationship" I asked "get some rest, I will talk to you later" she said as she walked towards the door "I love you" I said "I love you too" she said shutting the door and leaving me alone. "Hey how are you feeling" Jay asked as he entered my room "Tired and sore and I want to go home because Danielle is going to leave me and I...I ca...can't breath" I said as with fast uneven breaths "Hey, hey you're okay, she isn't going to leave you she just needs some time okay" he said "Give her time and space she will come around I promise you" he said.

Danielle's POV

"Danielle are you home" I heard Stefania call out as she walked through the front door "Uhh yeah in the kitchen" I replied, "Hey, how are you feeling" I asked "Tired and sore still but much better" She replied "that's good, I'm glad" I responded "Can we talk please" she asked "I'm tired Stefania I think it should wait until tomorrow" I said "Danielle please don't push me away, just let's talk okay please" she pleaded "not tonight Stefania I promise we can talk tomorrow" I said walking into our bedroom. "I um.. cancelled our appointment for tomorrow" I said "For the fertility specialist" she questioned "yeah" I confirmed avoiding eye contact with her. "Why did you do that" she questioned "You don't want to have a baby with me because of this" she asked "I don't know" I said "You don't know, are you serious right now Danielle" she said anger lacing her voice "I just want to put it on pause for the time being is all okay I just need time to think and a bit of space" I said turning over to look at her "You know what I love you, I love you so much and it's because I love you that I am going to give you time and give you space, give me a call when you are ready to talk to me okay and when you can look at me without looking like you want to be any where else" Stefania said standing up and walking into the wardrobe. "We still have to film together so you will need to be able to at least do that with me okay" Stefania said walking back to the bed with a suitcase. "Where are you going to stay" I asked "I'll grab a hotel for as long as I need to" she said as she filled her suitcase with her clothes. "You know I love you right" I said as i followed Stefania to the door.
