Growing up she felt like she was never appreciated, never recognized. She felt like that girl who was in the spot light, yet always in the shadows. She knew she was different, unique, special and others said that about her too. But that didn't make her feel any better about herself. 

She would have friends who she'd call "best friends," yet in reality she was just their slave. A slave to their manipulation and underappreciation. She felt used and betrayed, yet still smiled in everyone's faces. She felt sad and lonely, yet told nobody.

"You're so nice" "Everyone likes you" is what they all told her. 

But when she thought really hard about it, did it really matter to her?
