Veronica was the first to walk over to her. "Hi I'm Veronica" she beamed and pulled her into a hug. She was surprised by Veronica's gesture but then laughed and hugged her back. Even her laugh sounded angelic.
"Hi, I'm Kiara! she introduced
The rest moved to say hi and that's when I realised that I was still soaked from head to toe. This is so embarrassing. I made a mental note to kill Justin later. I pulled myself out from the water and walked over to her. My soggy socks slapped against the pavement with each step I took.
"Hi I'm Sierra" I smiled. "I would hug you too but..." And gestured to my body.
"Oh It's ok" she brushed off with a smile showing off her pearly whites. I had to admit she was slightly intimidating with her looks and height.
I then turned to Aaron and cocked my head to the side. "You didn't tell me your girlfriend was coming or that you even had a girlfriend for that matter"
"You didn't say anything?" She intervened. Her voice held disbelief. She turned to Aaron with a scowl on her face, giving me a good view of her amazing side profile.
"No it's not like that. This is Sierra. As in my ex..Sierra" he explained to her. Her eyes widened as she registered whatever was going on her head. I guess Aaron told her about my 'amazing' hospitality these past two days.
"Oh sorry I didn't realise" she rushed out.
It suddenly got very quiet. I hated awkward silence. It makes you want to disappear there and then. "I'm gonna go get changed before I get a cold" and quickly excused myself. To add to the awkwardness you could hear my soggy socks as I practically ran away. Once I was in my room I made a beeline for the shower. I couldn't be bothered with drying my hair so I quickly braided it down and threw it over my shoulder. I wore a pair of long brown jersey shorts and a matching brown T-shirt.

After getting dressed I flopped down on my bed and stared up at the high ceiling. It felt weird that my ex boyfriend who is currently staying with in my apartment has a girlfriend. Not to mention she's drop dead gorgeous. I wouldn't be surprised If she was a model. At the same time I don't know what I expected.
After a few minutes of gathering my thoughts I walked out of my room and into the living room where there was a lot of chatter. They were all sitting down listening to something Kiara was saying. I took a seat in my favourite chair by the window. As if my single life couldn't get any worse I downgraded from being the fifth wheel of the group to being the seventh wheel of the group.
"Wait a minute what did you say your last name was again?" Veronica asked Kiara
