Chapter 33 : Defeating the Dilemma

Anika couldn't think about anything but Shivaay. What had changed between them? Why did she feel so conscious, bothered, hot and dizzy headed around him? She didn't feel an ounce of anger or irritation. He heart was all mushy and she couldn't deal with her warm cheeks anymore.

They had all decided to have lunch at a restaurant after their fun filled and tiring dance practice which was more of having fun chatting. 

Anika cautiously turned to her side, after she made sure no one was watching her, to look at Shivaay. An instant smile drew up her face as she noticed he was already looking at her and smiled the instant their eyes met. 

This was getting awkward now.

She guided her gaze back to Saumya who was now asking Yashraj about his most interesting case.

Anika's every breath was conscious. Sitting next to Shivaay on the wall couch, she was aware of his slightest movements.

 It was when the two waiters started populating their table with the dishes that were offered when, he shifted closer to her. Anika sat still trying to calm her thudding heart. This was crazy.

"Salad?" He offered softly pushing the plate towards her subtly.

She shook her head in a negative, noth bothering to even look at him. 

"Ru bhai, can you please continue Bhaiya Bhabi's love story?" Pari spoke up and Anika instantly looked up like a deer caught in headlights. 

"Oh yes!"

"Okay, what is this about?" Yashraj asked, grinning widely. Anika threw him a glare while Prinku explained how Rudra had started to narrate the love story of Anika and Shivaay.

"Pari, why don't you try these baby onions, they're really good." Anika spoke up trying to divert the topic. "And, Rudra, did you try these low fat French fries?" She said pushing the plate towards him.

All gazes fell on her before they all dispersed and everyone eventually broke into a laughter. Anika turned red. She had never felt so uncomfortable, this was worse than Shivaay's flirty antics.

"Should have kept quiet!" She heard him mumble. 

She finally turned to meet his eyes and saw the twinkle in his eyes. So he was enjoying this too. She felt like a fool. 

"I- I need to use the restroom." Anika said looking around the table as everyone tried to conceal their laughter. 

Shivaay got off his seat for her to slide out. Once she walked away and he was sure he was out of earshot he turned to everybody. "Guys, please. Rudra, she's not liking it." He said giving his brother a serious expression of eyes. 

Rudra nodded, struggling to wear a straight face. Shivaay sighed and glanced at Omkara with a od of his head and walked away in the direction Anika had taken.

Omkara smiled, these two in so deep. They were the biggest idiots if they still couldn't see that they were irrevocably in love with each other. "Oh by the way, Pari, why dont you ask Rudra about his Romi love story!"

"O!" Rudra exclaimed annoyed while Saumya let put a laughter, and Prinku joined in.

"Does everybody in the family have a love story?" Gauri asked with a smile.

Omkara glanced at her. She caught his gaze. "Do you have one too?"

Omkara rolled his eyes.

"I want to know. Ru bhai, you din't tell me you had a girlfriend!" Pari complained.
