He was a creation of God. He was made to be perfect. He had a silk skin, so soft to the touch, green eyes like the forest, like a field. His brunette hair was falling in his eyes, he was so beautiful and innocent, a pure soul that wasn't able to feel bad emotions. You could stare at him all day and yet, you won't get bored of it. All of these were accompanied by a pair of beautiful white wings, big and soft.
He actually never learned how to fly, only guardian angels knew how to fly.

He went by the name Theo, a name that was translated as divine gift. And in fact, he was a divine gift, his creator, Scott, had been sure to make him as perfect as he could and to teach him and prepare him to be one of the best angels. He was Scott's favorite angel but he never felt superior, he never felt pride in that. But there was this angel who never really liked him. The angel's name was Stiles, and he secretly hated that Theo was God's favorite. The worst thing is that Theo didn't know that and Stiles was his best friend.

As angels, everyone had their job. Theo was still too young to have a job, he was only eighteen but yet, he was so curious. He wanted to learn more. About the angels' jobs, about Heaven, about Hell, Purgatory and so on. But he wasn't allowed.

Everyone would say that he's too fragile and innocent to learn about the world of fire, they told him that his pure soul will get dirty because of it. They told him that it was safe here, that it was safe for him not to know.

He believed them, he didn't complain about it because he liked to feel safe, he liked to be safe.

Scott wanted him to become one of the council's angels. Theo didn't like the idea of that. He didn't want to punish other angels, he didn't want to have responsibilities. All he wanted was to fly around, to play and learn more about the world. He wanted to be free and do whatever he wanted. But he couldn't do that because he had to obey the God.

But sometimes his curiosity would get the best of him. That's why he was standing close to the edge, in his knees with his palms on his legs, trying to get a glimpse of something, anything. Just a little, just to see something, just to see how it was like.

"Theo, what are you doing?" he was sadly disturbed by someone before he could see something. He backed away fast, looking innocently at the person. The angel before him was taller than him, with brown eyes that looked like the gold in the light and with dark brown hair. He had a pair of wings too, the same size as Theo's, and they were white too.

"Nothing Stiles, I was just-"

"You were trying to look over the edge like always, weren't you?" Stiles asked with a chuckle.

Theo smiled guilty, batting his eyelashes as he replied.

"You know me."

"Come on, we'll be late for school." Theo got up and walked to Stiles. They started walking, their wings touching as they went by.

Young angels had to go to school. They had to study and be prepared for their future, their jobs, there Theo could learn how much he wanted and sate his curiosity for some time.

"Wouldn't be cool if we would know how to fly too?" Theo asked, tucking his wings behind his back.

"I don't know, I've never thought about it," Stiles' gaze fell on him. "You know-"

"Only guardian angels know how to fly, the other angels don't need to fly so that's why they aren't allowed to learn how to fly. Yes, yes, I know."

"Exactly!" Stiles replied.

"I just thought that it would be more fun and easier if we knew how to fly." Theo muttered to himself quietly, looking at the ground.

"Did you say something?"
