"No matter how much falls on us, we keep plowing ahead. That's the only way to keep the roads clear."

- Greg Kincaid

Aliya closed her eyes tightly, quietly counting to three before opening her car door. Gab became even more restless when he saw the dark glimmer in her eyes. When Aliya was rounding the corner, he screamed. "Aliya! You don't have to do this!" Gab thrashed around and when Aliya opened the door, he immediately kicked her in the face, making her bleed.

This made Gab hyped as he somehow managed to get loose from his restraints. Instead of running away, he mounted on top of Aliya with a malicious sneer. "I should've fucking killed you that night too." He pounded Aliya's face with his fist continuously, before resorting to choking her, "Had I known you'll be this much of a problem." He held her hair tightly, pulling her up and dragging her into the bushes.

Her head lolled to the side making him chuckle and shake his head in amusement, "Sheesh. This all you can take after all that tough talk and walk?" She rolled her eyes at him, making his blood boil. He pushed himself off of the truck before marching towards her.

When he was near enough, Aliya immediately held onto his leg and swiftly pulled her knife out of her waistband, stabbing him in his side. He groaned and cursed out loud as he fell to the floor, cradling his side. "Is that," She pushed herself off the ground, "all you got?" She fired back, patting her pants clean.

She could almost cry in relief. Everybody was gonna be safe now. The silent abuser was silenced

He gurgled, struggling to speak. Aliya was watching him while catching her breath, her body and heart aching in several areas. Several emotions were running through her veins, overwhelming her. A sob escaped as her face crumpled in pain, "I was in pain that night. How could you?" Using the back of her palm, she wiped her tears.

"I-I'm sorry."

Gab was dying and it was just then that he realised his sins. Nobody would actually really know if he was regretting what he did, or he was just trying to earn last minute points to go to the good place.

Aliya's heart had no more energy to even feel pity. He destroyed her soul that night. She didn't even have time to mourn herself or even ponder on what just happened to her. She had to put on a brave face and lead her people. She had to be the strong one.

"The smirks you give me every time you pass me by says otherwise."
