Ysa: Mommy, where are you?
Mara: I just picked up Ada, I am already in the office. Why?
Ysa: Can you come to the hospital? Sab's here in ER.
Mara: Why?!! What happened??
Ysa: Calm down Mommy, she fell from the stairs.
Mara: Ha? Is she critical?
Ysa: No Mommy, but you need to come.
Mara: Okay, I'll be there.
I quickly went out of my office and go to Matteo's.
"Love, we need to rush to the hospital, Sab fell from stairs. Nasa ER daw sabi ni Kaela"
"Ha?!! Anong nangyari? Kumusta na si Sab?"
"Kaela said she isn't critical. Let's go? But how about Ada?"
"Let's leave Ada na lang in Annika's clinic.
Matti and I hurriedly went to the hospital hindi na namin naabutan si Sab sa ER, she was already transferred to a private room when we arrived. We saw Myelle and Kaela with some of Sab's friends inside the room.
"Anong nangyari?"
"She fell from the second floor, nakahawak sya sa railings kaya okay naman sya. Unfortunately, nastrain yung left arm nya sa pagkakahawak sa railings kaya kailangan nya mag arm sling Mommy."
I took a deep breath.
"Where is her attending doctor?"
"Ay kakalabas lang po Daddy, nasa nurse's station po siguro."
"Love, I'll bring Ada to Annika then talk to the doctor first okay?"
I nodded and went near Sab.
"Anong lagay na ni Sab? Is she really okay?"
"She is Mommy."
"But why are we still monitoring her? Is there something wrong?"
"Mommy, she's not critical of falling from stairs but her pregnancy is."
Parang humiwalay ang kaluluwa ko sa katawan ko.
"Anong sinabi mo Kaela???"
"Mommy, Sab is 2 months pregnant."
Sab is just 17! Ni hindi pa nga nakakapagdebut! Nagsikip na ang dibdib ko.
"Mommy!!"
Myelle supported my weakening legs.
How could this happen?! Why?!
Now, all I can do is cry.
"Love?"
"Anong nangyari sa Mommy nyo?!"
"Ysa! Myelle!"
I hugged Matteo. More than my pain, alam ko mas magiging masakit sa kanya ito.
