annie's pov:
annie leblanc, there's so much weight and many standards held to my name.
my family packed up and moved to los angeles a few years back, to pursue acting.
my family and i were booking jobs like crazy and realized it'd be easier to be here rather than home.
quickly after we realized it wasn't the life we wanted so we stopped.
i do still post for my fans, a few times a year.
me posting is very uncommon, but i love my fans, we welcomed them as part of our family i don't want to completely shut them out.
but i did kind of iced out the entire social media portion of my life and just focus on being a normal kid.

that starts with high school.
no one at school really knows and if they do they don't care.
which i'm grateful for, because i try to keep it as quite as possible.
it's not something i'm ashamed of it's just something that people tend to judge.
i've dealt with judgement enough growing up, i don't want more of it.
doing it since i was so young i never knew what it was like not being plaster over the internet, but now i'm glad that i have privacy.

i went downstairs to have breakfast with my family before school.
i sat in between caleb and hayley.
a: good morning family.
c: hi anns.
h$: hey.
a: what's the plans for after school.
we're in the same friend group, we do absolutely everything together.
it's the best thing that's happened since the move.
h$: i was thinking we go down to the beach. we can walk the board walk and get ice cream.
c: or drive down pacific coast.
a: or do both.
c: send it in the group chat.

caleb said as we walked out the door.
i went into my car and hayley went with caleb in his.
we both get released from school at different times and he has work so we go separately.
as we walked into the school doors i saw jayden standing by my locker doing her makeup in the mirror.

a: thanks for opening it for me.
jay: oh of course babe.
she says laughing
as i set my books inside.
jay: so i saw the group chat beach and the coast.
a: yeah sound like a plan?
jay: i'm down don't we love living in sunny la.
a: we do.

after that we heard the one and only mackenzie ziegler.
i've never had a problem with her, but she's really obnoxious and loud.
i don't judge someone by their appearance or how they seem to act considering i've never had a conversation with her but i am observant.
k: johnny you never called me this weekend.
she says to boy walking through the hall.
i stopped paying attention after that.

jay: i also got this new top today, isn't it so cute.
a: it really is, yellow is definitely your color.
jay: isn't it, i've been trying to figure out my own style rather than follow the trends. i want to be a trend setter not a trend follower.
a: well you have your first official fol-
a boy comes up and wraps his arms around me.
k: a freaking sophomore!
mackenzie yelled in our direction.
a: hello?
i ask

j: can you just wrap your arms around my neck for a few minutes.
said the same boy talking to mackenzie, so i didn't question him.
a: sure.
i says wrapping my arms around him neck.
once we let go of each other he utters.
j: thanks
and winks.
i give him a cringed out face.
a: uh no problem.
j: what's that face?
he asked smiling.
a face of embarrassment.
