3 Weeks Later
Levi's P.O.V
I get out of my car and walk into the restaurant. A lady walks up to me with a warm smile. Her name tag says, Ciara. "Welcome, what is the name on the reservation?" She asked as she glanced down at her tablet.
"Reservation for Levi Andrew." She smiles and looks up at me.
"Welcome, Mr. Andrew. Follow me." I follow her towards the end of the restaurant and she stops at a booth. "Now this is a party for two?" I nod as I sit down.
"Yes, it is. Thank you, Ciara." She smiles.
"You're welcome. Can I start you off with something to drink?"
"Just a bottle of champagne please." She nods.
"Right away." She walks away and I sigh as I take off my jacket. I wipe my face. I check my phone for the time and look out the window.
"Levi?" I turn to the voice and stand up looking at her.
"Vivian?" She smiles.
"Thank you for meeting me." I nod as I glance down at her belly which looked to be a few months pregnant.
"Yeah, of course." We sit down and I take a deep breath.
"You look well." I nod.
"As do you." She looks down at her hands.
"They gave me 3 months on probation. Apparently, Noah didn't want to press charges against me." Her eyes went to mine and I clear my throat.
"Yeah, I know." She gives me a small smile.
"It doesn't really sound like Noah. I mean he took Hope to court for Tyson. Noah isn't the type to just let something like this go." I look down and cross my arms.
"Who's the father?" I look back up at her. She looks away. "Is it Noah? I'm guessing you haven't really been with anyone else." She scuffs and looks at me.
"If Noah was the father I wouldn't be here. I would be all the way across the world by now. I wouldn't want him to try and take my baby away from me. The last thing I want is Hope to raise my child." I fold my arms.
"You have to be three or four months pregnant, Vivian. You were with Noah at that time. Who else could have been the father." She gives me a sad look.
"You," I let out a dry laugh.
"If this is your way of trying to hide the baby from Noah knowing then you have the wrong person." She shakes her head as she looks out the window.
"That night Noah went over to Hope's house to babysit Tyson." She looks back at me. "The night you came over." I sit up straight.
"You told me we didn't do anything." She nods.
"I know but I didn't expect this to happen. I mean we were drunk. Neither of us remembered anything from the night before. I thought that I imagined it so I didn't say anything." I roll my eyes.
"How do you even know it's mine?"
"Because nothing happened with Noah and me after that. He got distant. I got sick every time I ate something so I took a test and it came back positive. I took another one and another one after 7 tests said the same thing I knew I was screwed."
"If you knew all this time how come you didn't say anything sooner?" She takes a deep breath.
"Because I didn't want to keep it." I give her a confused look.
"What?"
"I knew that once Noah found out about what was going on we were going to jail. I know that if I were to keep it I would get it taken away. But I thought about you and how great it would be to raise this kid together and I decided against it. When we were in college I never wanted Noah. I wanted to be with someone else but then he did his little game on me and took what he wanted I thought I needed him. I agreed to help Lola so I could be closer to Noah but the closer I got to him the more I realized I didn't want him. I know after everything that has happened you probably hate me but I just want you to know you were the one I wanted. You were the one I fell in love with. You don't have to help me raise this kid but I just figured you needed to know." She stood up to leave and I grabbed her hand. She looks at me.
"Sit," She swallows harshly and sits back down. I wipe my face as I look out the window. "Vivian I am angry that you went along with Lola." I look at her. "Noah has been our friend for years. We know better than anyone how bad of a person she is. You could have killed Noah just by giving him those meds. I hope you realize that." She nods.
"I know and I apologized to him." I lean forward with a confused look.
"You spoke to him?" She nods.
"I spoke to him when they released me. That's how I know you spoke to him and begged him not to press charges."
"I care about you, Vivian. But I won't sit around while you target my friends. Noah has done nothing but be there for you whenever you need him. Hope hasn't done anything to you. They can't be on your list of people to hate. I refuse to choose between you or them. So if you can't get past this childish behavior then you and I will end here." She gives me a small smile.
"So you're saying that if I am nice to your friends and be with them instead of against you'll raise this baby with me?" I take a deep breath and grab her hand.
"I'm saying I'll give us a shot at raising this baby together while working on us." She giggles.
"For the record, I was already planning on dropping whatever grudge I had towards them. They didn't do anything wrong to me. I know that." I smile.
"Okay then."
