"Shall we allow our packs to mingle and the pups to play?" Namjoon asks.
Lalisa glances towards her pack, then returns her eyes towards Namjoon. "That sounds lovely. Thank you, Namjoon-ssi."
Mina surges forwards, eager to play with the other pups while a couple of the older pups from the nomad pack join Mina to come bounding over to play with their new friends.
Yoongi smiles as he watches Seyeon and Jisung approach, taking off their clothes quickly and sinking down into their wolf forms. All of the old enough pups were skittering off together, eager to make friends and test their strengths.
Jisoo wanders over, still grinning happily. "I still can't believe it's you and your pack," she whispers, then beams at the pup now locked with Yoongi's arms. "Hi, little one. Oh, you're so cute."
"Yeah, a real trouble maker," Yoongi agrees as Hajun fusses loudly. "Do you want to come into the cabin? You're welcome to bring your mate."
"He will stay out here with Mina, I'm sure," Jisoo replies, "but I would love to! I still demand the whole story." She glances towards Jeongguk. "It's so good to see you again, Jeongguk-ssi. Your family is beautiful."
Jeongguk smiles shyly. "Thanks. It's good to see you too. And you can just call me Jeongguk. I wasn't- I wasn't really raised Korean."
Jisoo smiles. "That will have to be a part of the story, then."
The three of them head into the cabin, settle the twins in their playpen, and then gather around the dining table with drinks cupped in their hands. Yoongi starts off the story from the night of the storm, admitting to his actual blindness, and meeting Jeongguk.
He talks and talks, Jeongguk adding in his own impressions and thoughts. Moments that even Yoongi wasn't always aware of. Their stories melded perfectly, sweeping into the incident in Daegu and then, of course, moving here, Jeongguk's pregnancy.
All the way till now.
And then Jisoo speaks.
She talks about her life in Seoul, and the college she attended but it always felt like she was an outcast due to the fact she knew more than most humans about Lycan's and the beauty of them. Feeling like her life wasn't her own.
And how she met her mate, and how they fit and fell in love. How they never cared about the fact she was human and he was a wolf. Her pregnancy and the almost miscarriage. That carrying a wolf pup almost killed her, and they decided to not have any more in fear of her passing away.
Mina was their miracle.
Jeongguk teared up at that, looking towards the ceiling as he tried to hide his tears and rubbed his stomach as if trying to imagine the pain of almost losing one of his own children. Yoongi had kissed away the tears as Jisoo continued saying how she wanted to travel with her mate and the places and people they had met. As wolves and man.
All the way till now.
Their drinks were empty. The twins fast asleep.
"So, you were actually human when we first met?" Jisoo murmurs, searching Yoongi's features and fingers tight over her mug. Lips painted white from being pressed together. Yoongi nods once. "And you were actually visually disabled?"
"Yes, all of that. I was visually impaired, I was human. Jeongguk was a wolf that came to my cabin, and well, he just never really left," he concludes, chuckling slightly as he recalls the first few days together. "I was so used to having a huge black wolf in my house that when he shifted to a man the first time, I was so lost on what to do."
"I just wanted you to stop calling me Cujo," grumbles Jeongguk, his smile nothing but fond as he finishes off his drink and laughs.
Jisoo snorts. "You called him Cujo? Really, Yoongi oppa?"
Yoongi shrugs, touching his ear and cheek with his palm. "What else was I supposed to call this huge, lumbering wolf? I didn't exactly know his name!"
They break into laughter, which slowly tampers off into peaceful silence.
"I think about Daegu a lot, actually," Jisoo admits after a few moments of quiet. Her fingers tighten around her glass. "About that night. It damaged so much, but in a way, it gave me a lot too. The courage to leave."
"I miss the cabin sometimes," Yoongi admits quietly, shrugging his shoulders. "I thought about taking my children to that mountain, to go to whatever is left of that cabin. Just to show them where our pack began."
"But in the end, it's not worth the risk," Jeongguk mumbles softly, "the humans there never accepted us and won't accept my children either."
Yoongi smiles, rubbing his thigh from under the table. "We have all we need here. More than just a life. We thrive here."
Jeongguk nods. "When I was younger and living with my family pack, I never imagined my life could be this wonderful. To adore the feeling of pregnancy and the pups- it's something I once feared."
Jisoo frowns, reaching over and brushing her fingers over Jeongguk's hand in silent reassurance. Surprise washes over Jeongguk and Yoongi's features at the wolven action, and Jisoo smirks.
"I have been living with wolves for this long. Think I haven't picked up a few tricks?"
Yoongi laughs. "That is a great point."
Before Jisoo could reply, the sound of their front door being thrown open and paws skittering over the wooden floor interrupted her. Turning, Yoongi grunted at the sudden onslaught of Seyeon and Jisung.
"Daddy! Daddy! Mina taught me how to- how to track squirrels and I almost caught one!" Seyeon shouts, tail wagging and barks emitting from her wolven throat.
Jisung was practically bouncing off the walls as he clambers up on Jeongguk, who grasps at his fur to try and keep the pup on his lap and not falling off as a furry heap to the floor. "And Mina's friend Kwan taught me how to stalk better, so I can sneak up on deer!"
Jeongguk giggles. "Oh, did they now? Have you made some friends, then?"
Jisung nods his furry head. "Yeah, mommy! We did. Dal is even making friends another one of the girls, but she is older than Dal by four years! She's so big and already presented as a Omega!"
"Dal must be excited, then, huh baby?" Jeongguk says, kissing his son's furry head and scratching behind his ears.
"Jisung-ah did really well, dad," Seyeon says, turning to look at her father. "We should go to the forest together with the triplets tomorrow and show you."
Yoongi hums. "Yes. I think that would be a great idea." he glances towards Jisoo. "Maybe Mina and her father and mother will join us?"
"Join you for what?" Jisoo asks politely, standing to place her cup in the sink.
"The forest tomorrow. Wolf training time," Yoongi clarifies, cheeks tinting pink when he realized that Jisoo couldn't hear his children.
Jisoo beams. "That would be a lot of fun. Sure."
"It's a deal, then."
