Chapter 8: a date

Mo family Mansion

Mo Qi'er was in her mother's room pleading towards her mother."Mom please help me deal with that sl*t!"

"Calm down Qi'er what happened?" Her mother asked brushing her hair aside.

"Mom that sl*t made the soup save my legs look at this!" She said showing her mother the scar on her legs with teary eyes.

Seeing the scar on her daughters leg Mo Qi'er mother Mo Bai Lu lost her sanity and flew into rage. "HOW DARE SHE!!??" She screamed out loud.

Hearing his wife screaming Mo Zhi Lu came into the room and asked, "what's happening here, What's with the loud noise?"

His wife looked at him with teary eyes and said, "Darling... some ***** made soup scar our daughters leg!"

"What who dares!!" He yelled.

"Honey... You have to do something I want that **** out of that school." Mo Bai Lu asked looking at her husband with sad and angry eyes.

Unexpectedly Mo Zhi Lu let out a sigh. "I'm afraid I can't do it. We have some important investors coming to the school to support our school trip to Shenlu island. The boards gave me direct orders to not let any problems arise at school." Mo Zhi Lu explained.

"Dad, please let me deal with her and you can find a reason to expel her."  Mo Qi'er pleaded towards her father with teary eyes.

"You can do anything you want to her, but do it when the investors are not there." He said looking at his daughter.

Mo Qi'er smiled and said "don't worry dad..."

"Where are we going?" Avary asked Jace who suddenly pulled up in a parking lot.

"On a date." He replied looking at avary with a smile.

"A....A date.." avarys face flushed with red repeating jace's words, being helped out of the car unknowingly by Jace.

When they reached Jace bought two tickets for a movie.

After watching the movie Avary came out of the theater laughing along with Jace.

"The ending...wa...s...was so....funny.." she managed to chuckle out.

Looking at the side of her avary smiled and saw a claw machine.
"Let's play this." She suggested and walked up to it searching her purse for coins.

She looked at Jace and asked "so you wanna play first I want to see your skill."

He collected the coin which she had in her hand and smiled "I'm good."

6 mins passed and Avary was shocked. He actually knew how to play it well he already managed to get 8.

Avary smiled coldly not admitting defeat. "Anyone can play With the claw machine." She rolled her eyes and mumbled.

Pulling Jace away they went and play other games which she won all the time. Jace looked at her "you're doing this on purpose aren't you."

Avary looked at him and smiled satisfyingly "what makes you think that." She said to him,

Jace looked at her smiling and smiled back, he was happy that she was having fun for some reason. That smile even made his heart melt.

While looking at her playing a game where she was throwing the basketball into the net he smiled. He was actually letting her win but she was entirely clueless.

When they reached outside it was dark already, they were busy having so much fun that they lost track of time.

Jace drove to a small restaurant which was located at a seaside.
"*gasp* it's...here" scary mumbled.

"You know this place?" Jace asked avary looking at her shocked expression.

"Yes actually...my family and I came here when I was a little girl, we were visiting my grandparents here." She said with a sad smile. "They...were actually regulars here and was close to the owner." She said with a cracked voice.

"That was...before the fire." Jace asked under his breath.

"Yea..." she replied wiping her eyes. Her grandparents met each other there and got engaged there, they were good friends with the owner but when avary was five years old a fire went ablaze becuse of Someone who had a grudge against them and the owner, this caused 10 persons to die including her grandparents and the owner and several in critical condition and a dozen with just a
couple of scratches, she was one of those who were injured.

She was very close to her grandparents, but loosing them made her heart cold.

"I'm sorry.." Jace said apologetically.

"Why?" A vary asked with a sad smile questioning him.

"I brought back some bad memories for you." He replied looking down,

"It's okay.... I'm sure they would be happy to see me coming back here"

When they finished they both went into the resturant and ate. Suddenly avary felt sick and ran to the washroom.

Jace who wondered what was wrong ram behind her and saw her vomiting. He patted her back and when she finally raised up he saw blood coming from her nose.

He held her up and took a napkin and wiped her nose. "Are you okay now?" He asked wiping the blood.

Avary looked at him and faintly smiled, "yea...it's nothing..." she said .

"Are you sick?" He asked throwing away the napkin into the bin.

Avary paused and was silent for a moment. "I'm not sick... I just probably ate something I'm allergic to." She replied and walked away with a smile.

Jace did not bother questioning any further and left the topic. They got into the car.

"What's your address?" He asked,

"XX district Penthouse 9" she replied, and Jace paused.

The district where Ava is living has penthouse which cost more than 15 million dollar, and even more coincidentally he loved in that district too.

"What's wrong?" Ava asked seeing him paused.

"Nothing just shocked..." he replied.

Ava was confused but did not bother too much about it. She did not seem to know that she was living in a 15 million dollar penthouse. Who was she exactly and what was her identity? Jaces curiosity and interest in Avary became more and more deep.
