This is your backstory. It took me a while to develop a good idea and I understand there are some plot holes but we role with it.

As a baby you were left abandoned, red marks and bruises on the backs on your hand and the crook of your elbows. Your father adopted you and raised you. Up until the age of thirteen you lived in the south west of England in the countryside. You rode horses and spent lots of time outside. You lived alone with your father in a sweet country cottage with a small amount of land and some stables. You and your father, who is a veteran from the army, are very close. He home schooled you and whilst at home you learnt to box and practiced archery as a way to keep your busy mind occupied. Like your father you are outspoken, stubborn and humorous. Age 10 after watching Matilda you moved your spoon without touching it. From then on every few months things would move by accident

At the age of 14 you moved to New York where your father got a job in the police station. It was a huge change of scenery and it took you awhile to get used to it, especially going to school. Your father was too busy with work to home school you so you went to school for the first time in your life. You never really made friends and kept to yourself, focusing on your studies which you did well. When you joined school you began hearing voices in silent rooms, the power grew but you ignored it. If people found out they would see you as a freak. These weird things kept developing more and more over the following years until you had the ability to read minds and a developing power of telekinesis. Your father was encouraging you to join the marines when you turned 24 or even join the police academy. You had taken a few gap years and were back training. Still torn between the police and the marines but sure either way it was what he had always wanted for you. You still lived with him because it was pointless getting your own place if you were leaving in a year or so.

However when you were 23 everything fell apart.

A few days ago, in the middle of the night, every soul in the building sleeping peacefully, the building came crumbling down. A fire had started on the floor your flat was on, but it was too late when you realised. It was a hurried jumble of bodies as everyone rushed to escape the crumbling building and aggressive flames. Luckily you had gotten out, but in the chaos your father had been trapped. He died in the fire, leaving you alone and homeless. That's where Tony Stark came in. He had been called in to try and free anyone trapped on their balconies and had gotten to work on helping to control the mass of screaming civilians. You sat alone on the pavement as it began to rain. Tears stinging your eyes as reality hit, you had lost everything.

Once everyone else was taken care of and things calmed down Tony approached you. You were still sitting on the step, feeling numb and heartbroken. He placed a gentle hand on your shoulder and helped you up. "Hey kid, come with me. I have a place you can sleep. I'm Tony." Of course you recognized him, you looked up to him and what he did with the avengers. However in your haze of grief you never really took any notice.

The following days you stayed at Tony's house, for some reason he had chosen to give you a room in his million dollar home. After a few days of sitting alone in your room, crying and staring at the walls you took the brave choice to inform Tony of your powers. He obviously took it well but was also incredibly confused. That evening he contacted SHIELD and Fury told him to take you to live with the avengers.

That brought us to the wonderful day you joined the avengers. After opening up to Tony and then confiding in Pepper about how you were feeling you were feeling much happier and sort of back to normal.
