Four days later, Almas walked into the haveli with a man and a woman.
Shireen was marking something on a calender turned her head towards the door hearing the footsteps and the marker from her hands fell down seeing his son who had a bandage on his head and looked very pale.
"Kareem...bache kya huwa" She rushed towards them and cupped her son's face..."mujhe pata tha....mere bache ke sath kuch na kuch huwa hai....".
"Mama mai theek hun" Kareem smiled and kissed her hands
"Dikh raha hai.....ab maine tumhe kahin nahin jaane dena hai" Shireen in her affection didn't notice the woman standing next to her son.
The woman's face lit up seeing Rehaan playing with his teddy bear on the carpet. She forgot her injuries and ran towards him in lightning speed.
"Mera bachcha" she kissed all over his face and hugged him like a woman possessed.
Even Kareem smiled huge and limped fast towards the lady and Rehaan who looked ready to cry now.
"Ye...ye" Shireen was shocked at the display of events....
"Rehaan Kareem aur Jannat ka beta hai"
Almas sighed revealing the secret which he had been hiding from his family for months.
"Kya..par tumne toh" Shireen couldn't believe her ears.
"Mai sab bataunga...filhaal andar chalein" Almas assured and dragged the bags inside.
It was an hour later when everybody settled down after an emotional upheaval
"Almas.. ye sab kya hai" Farukh asked
"Actually dedh saal pehle jab mai Abu Dahabi gaya tha woh company ki wajah se nahin balki Kareem ke liye gaya tha. Wo Jannat se shaadi karna chahta tha "
"Toh phir..humein kyun nahin bataya" Shireen frowned
"Kyunki Jannat .. Ahmad Qureshi ki beti hai"
"Kya"
"Ji...humare kattar dushman....." Almas quipped and continued
"Unhone kisi tarah chhup chhupake shaadi toh karli....par jaise hi Qureshis ko pata chala wo log Kareem ko paaglon ki tarah dhoond rahe the. Maine in dono ko kisi tarah 10 mahine ke liye hifazat se bacha kar rakha aur isi beech Rehaan unki zindagi me aaya.......par sirf mere aadmi ki ek galti aur Ahmad Qureshi ko inka pata chal gaya. Unse peecha chhudane ki kashmakash me inka bahut bada accident ho gaya...wo toh shukar Allah ka ki Rehaan ko mai check up ke liye le gaya tha. Kareem went into Coma aur Jannat ko Qureshis ne pakad liya...unhone socha hoga ki Kareem ke bachne ke koi chances nahin hain."
Shireen gasped
"Qureshis ko Rehaan ka pata nahin tha nahin toh wo ise bhi sath le jaate. Lekin unhe shaq ho gaya tha... Isliye maine India aa jana zaroori samjha aur Rehaan ko mujhe apna naam dena pada kyunki wolog Rehaan ka pata chalte hi custody ke liye case file kar dete. Maine yahaan bhi jhooth bola kyunki mujhe yahaan ke mulazimon par bhi yaqeen nahin tha....jab tak Jannat unke paas thi.,humaari ek galti bhi hum par bahut bhaari pad sakti thi. Maine jis ladki ki tasveer aaplogon ko dikhayi thi .. wo mere dost ki behen ki hai....maine sab jhooti kahaani banayi thi ki usne hume chhod diya....I was never married"
"Lekin Jannat yahaan tak pahuchi kaise"
"Afzal ne help ki aur iske Chachu ne bhi saath diya"
"Lekin unhone ab agar kuch kiya toh" Shireen shivered
"They won't dare...ye humara ilaaqa hai.....mai sirf Jannat ki wajah se khamosh tha...ab ye yahaan hai aur mujhe kisi ka dar nahin"
"Kam se kam mujhe toh bataya hota" Farukh couldn't believe that his nephew handled it all alone
