Chapter 5 | Imagine Not Being Able To Appreciate "Art"

"What? Don't like what you see?" He smirks, raising an eyebrow.

"Just go put on a shirt amigo." Sierra says in an annoyed voice.

"Imagine not being able to appreciate art." Jake says.

"The only "art" she appreciates is mine." Chase states, causing Sierra to roll her eyes.

"TMI!" Austin shouts.

"Pipe down you el tonto." Sierra says nudging Austin in the ribs with her foot.

"Anyways! What's your plan today Em?" Kara asks me.

"Uh I have therapy and then I'm probably just going to lay in bed all day." I tell her. If I had my way though, I wouldn't be going to therapy today.

It isn't my choice, which is so dumb. I should be able to choose whether I'm in good health or not.

"What if we watch a movie after your session?" Sierra asks, causing a bunch of nods.

"I love y'all's movie room!" Austin says.

"That's because I did it." Jake says arrogantly.

"I'm pretty sure your brothers and your dad it Jake." Dwight points out.

"Imagine turning on your best friend." Jake says, feigning hurtness.

"Y'all are so childish. We're talking about watching a movie." Kara says, stopping their arguing.

"Yeah, what do you say Emma?" Chase says, looking over at me.

"I don't know guys." I say, hesitant. I really just wanna lay in bed all day, alone.

"I think it's a great idea." Jake says, making eye contact with me. He's giving me his look, which tells me that I'm not going to get what I want. The silence around the room tells me they all understand that look too.

"I guess." I mutter, looking at my comforter.

The guys begin talking about a new video game that's coming out and I try to zone out.

"Hey!" Jake suddenly yells, causing the room to become quiet.

"What?" Sierra says, glaring at him.

"Y'all bring her Starbucks and doughnuts, but nothing for me?" Jake says, placing his hand over his chest. "I'm hurt."

"They just love me more." I tell him, sipping my drink.

"Bull." Jake says.

"Is it though?" I say, causing Jake to look around the room.

Twelve pairs of eyes stare at Jake blankly and Jake scoffs.

"I hate y'all."

"Love you too Jakey poo." Austin says, blowing him a kiss. Jake just rolls his eyes.

I shake my head at their stupidity, checking my phone again to see the time. It's currently seven fifteen and it feels as if time is going painfully slow. I just want this day to be over.

"Escuchen chicos! I'm bored, let's do something." Sierra whines.

"I'd advise we entertain her before she throws a tantrum." Chase says, running a hand through his hair.

"I'm not five." Sierra says, glaring at him.

"Could have fooled me." Chase says, shrugging.

"Why do I date you again?"

"Because you love me." He says, grinning.

"Y'all are so disgusting." Travis says.

"You're just jealous."
