Blooms pov

I was walking towards the stone circle where we would have our first class. With my suitmates close by I felt like they where escorting me.

I hate this

I couldn't stop thinking about what Stella had said. That girl was really getting on my nerves, I mean she was the one who gave me the ring in the first place, right?

Sorry for caring more about my life then about your damn ring!

We arrived at a place in the woods near a waterfall. Huge stones were forming a circle around another smaller stone, it had something that looked like a silver Bowl on top. It all looked very mysterious and gave me some movie vibes.

I'm so excited!

But my excitement changed very fast into nervousness as I recognized the teacher who was already standing there waiting for us students to arrive.
Ms. Dowling, with a long dark blue Coat and a red tight-fitting sweater underneath, was watching us with watchful eyes. I swallowed, and had to think of last night. After she rescued me, we girls went back to the school but she hadn't come to talk to me. When I saw her standing there, I got a bit embarrassed. I had certainly broken more than one rule and ignored all the instructions she had given me at my arrival in one night. My first night. She must certainly be angry.

Just don't make eye contact Bloom

I said to myself but in that very moment she turned and looked straight at me as if she could read my thoughts. But instead of glaring at me like I thought she would, she gave me a little smile and a greeting nod before she turned back to the class. And while she begann to talk I noticed that I had kept my breathe in.

The class was very interesting, I started to relax and enjoy listening to Ms. Dowlings soothing voice, till up to the point where each student had to come forward, to the silver bowl, and had to show the power with whom they were born with.

I'm so not gonna do this

I didn't even know how! My hands started to sweat.

This is gonna be a disaster

After a girl named Beatrix conceived some little lightnings between her hands (very impressive by the way), it was my turn. Ms. Dowling gave me a sign that I could come forward and so I did. I was now officially freaking out. I glanced back at my suitmates.

A little help guys?

But they just smiled encouraging. Wanting to bring this behind me as fast as possible I quickly put my hands upon the bowl and waited.
Nothing happened.
I tried to focus but I heared quite whispering around me what made it almost impossible for me to concentrate. I looked up to Ms. Dowling. She was watching me curiously and it didn't seem as if she had any interest of helping me out or just making me skip the assignment.

Alright then. Bloom, come on!

I thought and I stared intensely down at my Hands.

Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, happy thoughts

A spark briefly flared up, but it disappeared as quickly as it came.
"Open yourself up to the magic of the world around you. Push past your doubts." the Headmistress said. I glanced at her, I had her full attention now.
"Focus on clear, positive emotions."
"What about your parents?" I looked questionly to Aisha.

What about my parents?

"Focus on how much you love them?"
She said.

Well that's not gonna work, not with my recent memories anyway.
