She fell in love quickly. Hard. Fast. A pebble that skims the water before quickly plummeting to the bottom. The kind of girl who would question the moon. The stars. Beg their rows of silk to engulf her pain. Her tears no more than frozen droplets on grated wall bus stop seats. Silent cries meant nothing, a silver stream that trickles down paper cheeks. How could one be so beautiful yet so cruel? That a mouth so soft, warm, could spit such poison. She fell in love quickly. Being sure to bring down rubble with her. The streamed turned river; ocean. And now I can't escape. Pinned between the rocks and the sand. Clawing at the edge. She loved strong. Rough. Harsh. Rusted nails and icy windowsills. She loved with a heart that she never had.
But I can't help that I love her.
