"Okay, what am I supposed to say?" I asked.

"That's up to you. He's waiting out in the hall" Trey said.

I stepped out. Then there he was.

"Come here a moment" He said. I walked over.

"Lilly, do you know what I want?" He asked.

I shook my head. He wrapped his arms around me and held me against the wall. He looked at me very seriously.

"I want you Lilly. And when I want something, I get it"

"Ok" I said. He kissed me. We both heard footsteps and both looked up as Trey stood there.

"Apolagies your highness" Trey said. "I will be leaving now"

"It's fine Trey. Actually could you do something for me?"

"Yes?" Trey asked. He acted so different around the Prince.

"Make sure she knows her way around. If you have to show her, by all means do that. We wouldn't want our special guest to get lost"

He'd said guest like I was something to eat. I shifted out of his grasp.

"Eager to leave?" He frowned.

"No" I lied.

"Show her back Trey. And show her to breakfast as well, tommarow. And her cleaning" The prince left.

Trey folded a clipboard under his arm and motioned for me to follow. We went up several flights of stairs.

"What hapened to the small cold white room?" I asked.

"That's a guest room" He said. "Your rooms upstairs"

He led me in.

"It's only eight thirty" I proclaimed. I wasn't going to go to bed now.

"Well yes but some of what goes on around here isn't for your eyes to see" He said. "Just go to bed, you will not want to make the prince mad, or me"

"The prince I could understand. But not you" I said.

He glared at me. It was such a strong look I almost fell back.

"Goodnight Lilly" He said bitterly closing the door. I turned back to my room. It was so cold I almost started crying.

I sat at my bed unmoving. Just cold and too curious to be awake. Wouldn't hurt to leave the room. I hadn't even wanted to be here. I'd been kidnapped.

I got up. The door was unlocked. I slipped out. I found stairs going down. I went down them. I entered the place were I had been introduced to the prince where the pillars and his throne were. I turned towards another room. In the room there was a beautiful locket that lay on a dresser. I walked slowly over and picked it up. It glimmered a strong blue silver. I opened it to find a picture of the prince and another girl. I thought they were kissing. It was hard to see so I tried to pull the locket open more. I'd forced it to open. It snapped crumbling in my hands. This had not been good. Someone was going to be mad.

I scrambled to pick up the locket as I heard footsteps. I set the broken locket down back on the dresser and spun around to see him. He had chesnut brown hair and angry red-brown eyes.

"Why have you been in here? Your supposed to be in bed" He growled.

He strode over and looked down at the locket. He took a sharp breath in and grabbed my wrist. I gasped. His nails had dug into my skin piercingly

"Do not struggle child" He ordered pulling me down through the castle. I was totally caught. He shoved me into a room and slammed the door and had locked it. The room was dark and eery. And even colder. I shivered. It was so cold, I couldn't stand it.

The door clicked open and in paced Trey. He looked mad too.

"I told you to stay in bed" He said angrily. "Lilly, why have you done this?"

"I wasn't tired"

His hand ran through his hair. "That's no excuse"

"Well I don't like being kidnapped and forced to work" I said.

"You think you have a choice?" He asked.

"I should"

"Well you don't"

"I don't get it. Why am I here?"

"Your really asking that? You've broken Lilly's locket. The other Lilly"

"But who was that guy that yelled at me and threw me in here?" I asked.

"He's one of the nightworkers. He keeps a look out for people that aren't supposed to be awake"

"Why did you come here?" I asked.

"I'm responsible for you" He said.

The door opened and in walked the prince.

"Lilly's broken Lilly's locket" He said. Trey stood unmoving. He looked scared even though I was the victim here. Now I realized I should be more scared than I felt. The fear washed over me.

The prince walked closer and grabbed my arm. "So Lilly's love breaks Lilly's arm"

He grabbed my arm. Trey looked like a statue, frozen in place. He looked like he didn't want to Prince to do it, but that he knew better than to say something.

"If you break my arm" I said. "I won't be able to clean"

"You'll still clean" He said. "Even if you broke every bone in your body. This is what you get for breaking my darling's locket"

"Well if your so in love with your dead bride" I said "Then why did you kiss me today?"

"Shut up" He growled snapping my arm. I gasped. Pain shot through my arm and tears rolled down my cheeks.

"Next time, you'll stay in your bed" He stormed out leaving Trey and me. I held my arm and Trey shook out of his phase.

"I'm sorry for what he's done to you" Trey said. "You may get bandaged up and then you will head back to your bed"

Trey led me to a bathroom. He pulled out banadges and bandaged it up for me. For a second, it had felt romantic but I pushed that thought aside.

"Why is he so mean?" I asked.

Trey shook his head. "Don't say things like that"

"But he's mean. He's a bastard"

"Lily!" He said. "Keep your voice down"

"I'm talking normally"

"Vampires can hear better than you think" Trey said.

"Well the prince is still a bastard"

"Lily sometimes I think you say things you shouldn't. And you just blurt them out at the wrong times"

"I agree with you"

I think I saw him smile. He walked me back to the room.

"Still not going to bed" I argued.

"You'll find yourself to be tired" He argued back. He had been right.
