“Daniel, please hold still.” Sharon pleaded as she held his struggling legs still.

They were all in the car with Jake and Mrs Johnson occupying the front seat while the three  girls sat at the back with a struggling Daniel, sprawled on their legs.

“Please Baby, hold still.” Esther muttered silently as she sped like a maniac along the road.

Jake glanced at her worriedly before turning to the back. His eyes met Annabelle’s and saw the message in them. There were all in imminent danger. They had tried explaining things to Mrs Johnson back home but she dismissed their opinions, claiming that it was an attack. It was a hard fought battle to lift Daniel all the way from the living room to the car. His thrashing and wild struggles proved to be a handful for them. Leaving the house, he couldn’t help but notice that the three hunters were missing again. Where were those guys when one really needed them?

He pushed the thoughts to the back of his head at that moment as he knew that his friend’s health was more important at the moment.Speaking of Daniel…

The three girls were surprised as he suddenly went limp. His struggling subsided and his breathing became calm.

“What happened?” Mrs Johnson asked curiously, glancing at the mirror facing the back.

“I don’t know.” Sharon replied, confusion clearly written on her face . “He just …stopped”

“Is he okay?” Mrs Johnson asked again.

Annabelle pressed  the back of her hand against his forehead. She winced as she felt  the burning heat emanating from his skin.

“His temperature is high.” She said, facing his mother. “Very high.”

“Then we have to hurry.” Esther frowned, concentrating on the road.
“ The sooner we get there, we can…”

She was cut short as Daniel’s eyes suddenly fluttered open again, turning blue in the process and he let out a deafening roar. Everyone covered their ears at the sound of the roar and Esther quickly stepped on the brakes.

“What was that?!” She screamed, still holding her head.

Before  anyone could move, Daniel quickly drew his leg back and kicked the door open, dislodging it from the car with the hit. He jumped outside and landed on the floor on all fours ,crouching in pain. Everyone came out and saw the painful scene in front of them. Daniel was screaming loudly this time as his face contorted in pain and rage. He spread his legs and hands side ways as bone breaking sounds could be heard. The bone of his elbows elongated and tore through his flesh, making everyone wince a the sight. Esther covered her mouth as tears began to spill from the corners of her eyes. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

“Daniel..” She moved slowly towards him.

“No, Mom!” He growled, startling her as his voice took on a deeper and darker tone. “Stay back!”

He let out another roar as he ripped his shirt off and crouched down. His bones began to potrude as his skin changed to a darker tone.

“Jesus!” Sharon screamed in horror, backing away. Annabelle was in a different state as she began to sob profusely.

‘I shouldn’t have got carried away. I should have remembered’ She thought as she dragged Mrs Johnson backwards. The latter still in shock.

Everyone moved back in fright as he began to grow larger and furs began to sprout out of his face and chest. His ears grew and became elongated, pointing backwards and claws protruded from his fingers. His jaw lengthened and sharp and his thighs expanded, tearing off his remaining clothing, completing the transformation.

Everyone stood rooted to the spot at what they saw. Gone was the Daniel, they used to know and love. In his place stood a jet black,8 feet werewolf. It’s blue eyes shone in the darkness and it opened it’s mouth to reveal razor sharp teeth. A bushy tail was revealed at it’s back and it stood on it’s hind legs growling menacingly at the group.

“Daniel?” Esther whispered still stunned. The werewolf glanced at her and let out a grunt, before growling again. She made to move towards it but it let out a louder growl. This time, in a warning tone.

“Mrs Johnson.” Jake whispered, holding her arm. “Please, don’t go closer. I don’t think he recognizes you.”

“But..” she protested.

Another roar was heard from a distance, startling the group.

“Another one?” Annabelle whispered in fear.

On hearing the roar, the black werewolf sniffed around until it faced it’s snout at a particular direction. It’s eyes glowed in rage as it recognized the scent. Barking loudly, it charged angrily away from the group in to the thick forest.

“Daniel! No!” Mrs Johnson cried out after the retreating beast.

The black werewolf charged on scattering and trampling anything and everything in it’s way. It’s large feet making thumping sounds and disturbing the stillness of the forest. As the werewolf drew closer, the scent began to get stronger. It jumped out of a nearby corner and landed in a clear opening, surrounded by large trees. It bared out it’s teeth and brought out it’s claws, ready for battle as it saw what waiting ahead.

Standing a few meters in front of him was the brown werewolf.
The one who bit him in Ghana.
The one responsible for  his current state.
On seeing him, the brown werewolf let out a defying growl as it’s green eyes shone in the darkness. It brought out it’s claws and let out a growl with the black werewolf responding with a growl of it’s own.

A bloody fight was about to begin.
