*Hazel*
I stretched my arms and flopped onto my other side. I opened one eye
and peeked at the clock. It was 6:49. Geez, it was early for summer.
I decided to just get ready to go anyway. The picnic didn't start
until 9, because we had stuff planned for the whole day, but I wanted
to look decent.
I rummaged around in my closet for probably an hour. I never have
anything good to wear. I decided on a black wavy skirt that went down
to my knees, and a light pink shirt. I re-curled my hair, and applied
the usual make-up. I didn't ever put much on, but I put enough to look

always liked to walk. There were cute shops all around. Cake shops,
pizza shops, little grocery stores, thrift shops, book stores, and a
bunch of others. My favorite though, was a thrift/book store at the end
of an ally down the street. People on bikes, and business men in
suits walked down the side walks. It wasn't very crowded, but it was a
cute little town.
By the time I reached the park, they had already started. Crap. I
pulled out my phone, it was 9:09. I sat in the very back. I didn't see
Gilbert anywhere. I was sitting all alone, when I saw him arrive. He
sat a few yards away next to his debate partner. He was in Team
Policy, whereas I was in Lincoln Douglas. So he had a partner, and I
