Y/N

I walked as fast as I could through the halls of the school building, I wasn't running or anything, not wanting to catch anyone's attention. I was hoping Levi would still be at his office, gathering his stuff together to get ready to leave the building. I panted as I finally got at his office, leaning my hand on his door as I tried to catch my breath.

I hesitated for a second, not sure if what I was doing was the right thing. I didn't want to lose him— I wanted to fight for him, I had to. I took in a deep breath before knocking on his door, but there was no answer. ''He must know it's me, right? Or maybe he's not here anymore... maybe he already left,'' I muttered to myself.

I tried calling him, sending him texts, but I got no answer from him. I sighed as I bit my bottom lip. Was this the end? If he leaves right now, without giving me any kind of answer, it will mean we lose contact and never speak to each other again. I balled my fists, quickly turning around as I started to run. I had to find his car and see if he was still at school.

At this point I didn't care about people looking at me, they might just believe I'm late to catching the train or something. I had to stop caring about what other's thought of me, it's a waste of time. I ran through the halls, occasionally catching some stares and shrugs on the way. I ran out of the building, almost slipping because of the slippery roads outside.

''L-Levi!'' I stuttered as I was out of breath, but caught a glimpse of the man I was looking for. He wore a coat, holding his briefcase in his hand as he was on his way to his car, ready to leave the school in the past.

He was ignoring me.

He continued walking to his car and didn't bother looking at me, fiddling with his keys as he tried to find the right one to unlock his car. I went on my heels, placing my hand on his lower arm as I tried to catch his attention.

''Don't touch me with your filthy hands, brat,'' he spat out before clearing his throat, ''I have to be somewhere.''

''I'm sorry,'' I mumble, tightening the grip on his arm, not listening to what he wanted, ''Levi.. please don't leave me. We can figure this out together.''

I looked up at him and watched him clench his jaw, we met for a brief second before he quickly broke eye contact with me, avoiding it now. ''I have to leave or I will be late, brat. There's no need for talking,'' he said with a firm voice as I quirked my brows.

''You promised me we'd stay together.''

He stayed silent, not knowing what to say. It is what he promised and he knew what he got himself into when he started dating one of his students. He knew what the consequences would be, but him losing his job was a tough pill to swallow. He didn't think much of it first, but his mind changed once it actually happened.

''I've changed my mind, Y/N,'' was all he said before yanking his arm out of my grip, unlocking his car and got into it. I stood there with big eyes, jaw dropped slightly in shock as I watched him roll down his window. ''Don't bother me anymore,'' his voice remained firm.

It was like I could feel my heart breaking apart, the sudden raindrops falling onto my body matched the mood as my eyes followed Levi's car leaving the school's terrain. Levi's cold words caught me by surprise, I wasn't used to his attitude anymore. We had been together for a long time, loving each other with all of our hearts. So, him acting like I meant nothing to him anymore hurt.

Maybe it wasn't just acting. Maybe I didn't matter to him anymore.

Confusion and disbelieve voided my mind, unable to think about any positive thing anymore. He had promised me he would stay with me and it was so easy for him to just throw everything away. It was like none of it ever mattered to him. Why else would he be able to leave me so easily?

Sadness got replaced by anger and anger got replaced by disappointment. Many emotions filling my body as I thought about the whole situation. I could understand him, he just lost his job after all. But we both knew it was something that was going to happen if Erwin found out. Hadn't he kept that in mind this whole time? What did he expect was going to happen?

Maybe I should give him some space and time.

I couldn't help but feel guilty, though. Even though he was just as wrong as I was, it felt odd, all of it. I just lost the person who treated me right and brought me comfort. Someone who appreciated me, unlike Reiner. I chuckled softly out of sadness, something that usually happened when I felt awkward, hiding my face in my hands.

''Please don't leave me. Please come back,'' I whispered to myself before walking back into the school building. I sighed, slumping my shoulders a little hunched over as I walked to the dorm rooms, not bothering going back to any classes. It didn't matter anyway, for now.

''Y/N?'' a girl mumbled and I looked up, standing in front of my dorm with my keys in my hands already, ready to unlock my door and hide from everyone for the rest of the day. ''You okay?'' she said, the tone of her voice sounded like she was bored, but there was a hint of worry too.

''I'm not in the mood,'' I rolled my eyes, unlocking the door that leads to my room, but the girl quickly grabbed my arm, pulling it just so I would face her. Her blue eyes pierced through my body, almost making me feel a little awkward and uncomfortable. She looked annoyed and intimidating, her gaze getting more intense the longer we both didn't speak a word.

''Annie, I told you, I'm not in the mood.''
