Mattia wasn't in bed but I heard Aaliyah laughing downstairs.
I went in the bathroom, brushed my teeth and went downstairs to see Mattia shirtless and wearing grey sweatpants and his cross chain, making pancakes as Aaliyah was sitting on the counter helping him.
Liyah: hi mommy.
Mattia turned around noticing I was in the kitchen.
Nev: hey baby, you helping him cook?
Liyah: yeah he almost burnt them.
Mattia: shh liyah, that was supposed to be a secret.
She laughed as I picked her up and she gave me a kiss.
Mattia grabbed three plates and put pancakes, and the rest of the meal on each.
He handed me Aaliyah's plate and I put her down, gave her the plate and she went to go sit on the couch, watching Disney Plus with Dior next to her.
Nev: liyah tonight we're going out, so that means you're gonna be with abuela for a couple hours ok?
Liyah: daddy and I made an agreement though.
I looked at Mattia confused.
Mattia: if we come back later than we should've then she gets to stay up till 12.
Nev: deal.
Cynthia's POV: 8:07 PM *An hour before the event*
Jabez was just getting home from a mission as I was getting ready for the event we were attending.
He walked in the room and scanned my body as I was getting dressed.
Cyn: what?
Jabez: I don't want you wearing something too revealing everyone's gonna be all up on you.
Cyn: I'm gonna wear what I want, I don't care.
He came up to me grabbed me by the throat and he looked mad.
Cyn: let go! If you don't I'm gonna-

I didn't respond

I had gotten dressed and was now doing my hair as Mattia came in the bathroom dressed in a suit.
