"Literally-" Jennie shook her head in disbelief. "What on earth did I do to ever meet someone like you...? I must have saved a whole country in my past life or something-"

"No, it's me who must have done that-" Yoongi beamed. "Compared to a normal person, I have to say that I have encountered many more things in life... and most of it have been really, really bad. But ever since I met you... only good things have been happening to me - but of course, none of them are almost as good as meeting you itself. That - meeting you itself - has probably been the best thing that has ever happened in my life."

Jennie's eyes gleamed. "I should be the one saying that. You're like the rainbow after the storm - my own personal rainbow amidst the storms of my life, always there to remind me that there is light at the end of the tunnel."

"I guess..." Yoongi pursed his lips. "I guess we could be each other's rainbows."

"I like that-" Jennie giggled, before a serious look crept onto her face once more as she looked up at Yoongi. "Can I give you a hug?"

Yoongi raised his eyebrows in surprise.

Jennie bit her lower lip nervously, trying to explain. "It's just that I feel really grateful towards you and I just, well-"

Yoongi opened his arms, surprising Jennie in that moment, so she just stared.

"Aren't you gonna hug me?" Yoongi laughed. "My arms are getting tired."

A huge smile crept onto Jennie's face as she ran into Yoongi's arms and hugged him tight, her eyes squeezed shut.

"Thank you... so much."

Byulyi had been waiting all day.

Jieun's words had bugged her ever since she had left home, but never would she have thought it'd come through. Thinking back, it made sense - talking to both Jungkook and Jieun gave her the impression that Seokjin was way too busy to care about such small promises he had made and probably gave little thought to. But for some strange reason, she wanted to believe that he'd fulfil his promise. In fact, the reason wasn't very strange and was in fact very simple - she liked him and that was it.

But great expectations only led to greater disappointment, because from 12pm to 1pm as Byulyi reached early and waited... he didn't show up. From 1pm to 2pm, she made excuses for him - or rather, they were probably more for herself - that he was probably caught in traffic and could not make it on time. From 2pm to 4pm, she kept telling herself to just trust him and wait a little longer. As 5pm came along, she was starting to lose hope, but she kept wondering what if he came when she left. At 6pm, she wondered if something bad had happened to him that made him unable to show up.

From the beginning all the way till the very end... she had been finding ways to defend him in her mind, when it was probably clear to anyone else that he had completely and thoroughly forgotten about their appointment and had failed to show up. Byulyi had been stood up, yet had zero courage to call him and face him straight on. They were supposed to meet at 1pm... but why was she still stupidly waiting for him in the café past 7pm?

Because she promised him. Because she promised him that she'd wait till he arrived, that's why she was still waiting here for him like a fool. Because he promised her he'd come. And even though anyone in with a logical state of mind could probably see that she was being dumb to wait for him... she couldn't see it. Or maybe, she saw it... but was still willing to wait for him - even if there was only a 1% chance that he was actually going to show up that day.
