I was pulled out of my thoughts by the door banging open and someone entering the house.

Now

Alexandras POV

I tensed up as I heard someone entering my home. I'm sure my brothers were on high alert too. I unconsciously placed my hand above the gun hidden in my pocket and silently waited. I couldn't risk getting found out by my family, but I also couldn't risk them getting hurt either.
Not when I'd only just found them.

"It's only me!" I relaxed as Hayley entered the living room and immediately stopped in her tracks looking confused as to why there were 5 grown intimidating men sitting on the sofa with me.

"Umm, what's going on? Who are you all?" She looked around scanning my family her eyes lingering on a certain brother before she blushed slightly and turned her attention back to me.
Probably waiting for me to introduce them.

OH RIGHT YH -

"Hayley this is my father and those are my broth-"

"WAIT hold up FATHER as in your your dad and BROTHERS?!"

"Yh an-"

"Eeeeek girl since when why didn't you tell me!"

"Well I only found out a while ago, and Hayley there's also something else I need to tell you." I turned back to my family who all had amused looks on their faces.

"Can you please give us some space to talk?" They looked at me understandingly and nodded.

"Sure, we should be leaving anyway we'll see you tommorow at 13:00". I gave them a nod and they left the house closing the door behind them. I sighed and faced Hay. She looked at me confused.

"So I'm just gonna come out with it, my family live in New York and I've decided to live with them. I'm moving out tommorow. I'm sorry if it's too soon or if I did-" I was silenced by Hayley arms wrapped around me as she hugged me. I felt something wet touch my shoulder and we pulled apart. Hay looked at me smiling a sad smile in tears.

"I'm happy for you girl, truly. This is your family and I know you haven't told me about what happened with them or anything about your past before, but as your best friend I want what's best for you and if it's living with your family then I will support you with any decision you make." We both smiled and hugged each other again.

"Thank you Hay it means a lot, you really are The best best friend I could of asked for."

"You don't need to thank me just don't forget or replace me and call me every week or I'll take a flight to New York myself and give you my daily lectures." I shivered at the thought. Hay often gave me boringly long lectures about peace and the community and whatnot honestly she can talk for days. And it's kind of ironic talking about peace to someone who kills for a living, but she doesn't have to know that.

"I'll help you pack then we can have a movie marathon for your last day in Cali, god I'm gonna miss you so much."

"Me too Hay, me too."

Time skip

We had finished packing a few hours ago and were now deciding on the second movie to watch. We agreed on Home alone and sat back to watch. During the next few hours, we had been talking and laughing reminiscing about the past. We played some games and eventually we were passed out at 3am.

"WAKE UP! YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE!!"
I groaned and slowly opened my eyes to a very frantic looking Hayley running around the house tidying things up. I rolled over and checked the time on my phone. It was 10:30. We were still in the living room were we fell asleep last night.

I stretched and got up and went upstairs to have a shower. I then got dressed into some comfortable clothes because I knew we would be going on a plane and I was still tired from last night so I would probably take a nap during the journey.
(Outfit below)

I tied my hair into a messy bun and didn't bother putting any makeup on because quite frankly I didn't need it. Not cocky, just confident with myself. Anyway, I went downstairs to be met with Hayley attempting to make breakfast. The toast was burnt and there was jam and nutella all over the counter. Eggshells were in the sink as well as in the scrambled eggs that were placed on the table. I shook my head and laughed.

Hay turned around and glared. "HOW!"
I smirked. "How what hay?"
She tried to act menacing and took a step forward. " How do you do this nearly every morning! I've finished all the bread and they all came out burnt and I dropped most of the eggs before I could even crack them it's not faaiiirrrr." She pouted and whined like a child. I couldn't help but chuckle at her antics and went to grab my car keys.

"Appreciate the effort hay, but you know you can't cook for the life of you so how about we go to the bakery downtown and get some breakfast there." She perked up at this and we both headed to my car.

When we arrived we got out and ordered our food at the counter. The lady smiled up at us. We were regulars at this place. Let's just say that it's not the first time Hay took an interest in cooking and waisted all the food. We paid and sat down. I took this time to think. I was actually leaving. I couldn't believe it. I actually had a family, one that wanted me. I couldn't help but think that they would leave me once they found out about my past.

We were back home now. We had done some shopping at the mall to get some last minute things before I left. My family were supposed to be here in a few minutes. I couldn't help but feel nervous.

"Don't worry ok, they'll love you and you're always welcome here, it is your home too you know." I smiled.

"Hey, before I forget, there's an envelope on the counter for rent this month, take it. It's the least i can do." Hayley looked at me I shock.
"You don't have to do that I've got a job Ive got it covered."

"Hayley no, let me do this please." She sighed. She knew how stubborn I could be and didn't bother arguing. She nodded and we both hugged each other.

A knock was heard on the door and Hayley answered it. I went to collect my suitcases from my bedroom and took one last look at everything. The memories I had made in the year and a half that I had lived here were one of the best in my life. I was sad to be leaving it all behind but that's what life's about taking risks. Closing one door and letting yourself open countless others.

It was time to move on and I couldn't be a wimp and not take this opportunity. Besides I had unanswered questions and me being the curious person I am was going to get answers. I shut the door, the faint smell of vanilla hanging in my nostrils before I headed downstairs to face my new life.
