"Imposible. Hindi pwede 'to."

"Alin ang hindi pwede, Dawn?" I heard the panic in her voice. Rachel and I, I didn't consider us best friends, but I cared for her in a way. At hindi ko hahayaang maulit ang nangyari sa akin noon. Not here in Monte Carlo High. Not in my new home.

I held the piece of crumpled red paper tighter and thought of something. This must be a coincidence. This could only be a prank. Tama. Ako ang bagong estudyante sa isang eskwelahang maraming bully at siga. Pinag-ti-tripan lang siguro ako.

"What the hell is that note and why is that on our door?!" She's pacing back and forth in front of me. "I think we should report this to--"

"No." Pagpigil ko sa kamay niya when she attempted to walk away. "Don't worry. Sa palagay ko, prank lang ito." Pinilit kong ngumiti para hindi na siya mag-alala.

"Prank? Why would someone pull a prank at us?"

"Sa akin lang, Rachel. I'm the new kid at sa maikling panahon pa lang na andito ako, marami na akong nakabanggang estudyante. Mga bully, gangsters, kahit teachers at mga taga-admin. This is something not serious, so please calm down."

Mukhang hindi siya kumbinsido sa paliwanag ko. "Okay. I'll give it to you this time. Pero kapag may nangyaring ganito ulit, I swear!" She sat on the edge of her bed and faced me. "Two girls are already missing and Anastacia's..." Her voice softened at bakas dito ang takot.

That girl Anastacia. She's dead for more than two months now. At ngayon, dalawang babaeng estudyante na ang nawawala for the past week. Nababalot na ng takot ang Monte Carlo High at kahit hindi pinapahalata ng Admin ang pagka-alarma nila sa sitwasyon, bigla silang nag-higpit sa curfew at sa paglabas-pasok ng mga tao sa campus.

Rachel stood up and went to the bathroom to wipe the tears on her face. I pulled out the piece of paper from my uniform's pocket and read the message again:

You think you can run away? We're still watching.
