Alex somewhat asked as the elevator doors open, I looked up at him and almost instantly I began crying, slowly I began to hyperventilate. Alex looked at me sympathetically,
'I-I lost him',
I said referring to my patient who I had just lost in surgery, a patient that I had gotten extremely close to as I had treated him for quite some time. I shook my head,
'I-I I killed him',
I said, Alex quickly walked towards me. He quickly grabbed and pulled me into his chest, he wrapped his arms around me, the elevator doors closed and he hit the emergency stop button. He left a kiss in the top of my head,
'shhh baby it's okay',
Alex said quietly into my ear, I cried into his chest. Alex's grip on me got tighter,
