AURORA EVANGELINE VANCE peeked her head out her bedroom window. The cold night air flew in her face, blowing her brown hair over her eyes. Right behind and between the Vance and Malfoy Manor, grew a big tree, which to be completely honest-nobody knew what type it was except a treehouse.

One of the three people she was expecting was already there, as blonde hair was visible through the windows. Either Daphne or Draco was very early, and as usual, Theo was late-not a big surprise.

Rory waited around 10 minutes before she was going to leave.
00.07 ; past midnight.

She crept out her room, trying not to make a sound so she wouldn't wake her brothers. She successfully arrived downstairs without waking a soul, earning a victorious smile from herself.

After soundly opening her door and slipping out, she pulled her phone out of her shorts' pocket, turning the flashlight on to illuminate her path. She though switched it off when she came nearer to the treehouse which glowed a warm white.

She knocked a pattern on the door, one they came up with as little kids to show that it was indeed one of the four of them. Her hand pushed the door inwards, showing the inside of the house.

Something about the atmosphere reminded her so much of summertime dusks, boy versus girl rivalries, and gloomy mornings playing tag in the rain. She smiled at the thought before entering the small room, inside only placed a chest of board games and toys, and a heap of blankets and cushions.

The only other person in the treehouse was a blonde teenage boy, tilting his head in attempt to read the sentences scribbled on the walls from almost a decade back.

"Do you think this says 'the stuffed monkey is my toy.' or 'the stuffed monkey is malfoy.' I really can't tell." He asked, pulling Rory's body closer to the scribbles for her to read. "You know what... I'd have to go with the second one." Rory scoffed, full of sarcasm.

They kept observing around the old, small treehouse laughing, smiling, and even cringing at some. They were so distracted that they didn't even realise that their other two friends never showed up.

DRACO LUCIUS MALFOY scoffed, an unbelieving smirk painted across his face. "So? What did they say?" Rory asked, placing a pillow atop her lap. Draco didn't give her a reply. He only handed her his phone, Theo's texts still displayed on the screen. They both shook their head, surprised in a good way.
