SM Confirms That Kinga Won't Be Participating In NCT 127 February Comeback January 1, 2021

Last year, SM confirmed a NCT 127 comeback with their 2nd Japanese Mini-Album "LOVEHOLIC", which will be released in February, 2021.
With NCT 2020 coming to an end, many NCTzens were happy to find out that NCT 127 is the first sub-unit to release a comeback, coming back as a 10-member group prior to the NCT 2020 comeback.
With no information about the comeback whatsoever, SM released a statement at 6PM KST today, stating that NCT's female member, Kinga, will not be participating in the upcoming NCT 127 comeback.
In the statement, SM confirms Kingas' hiatus from NCT 127 comebacks as she wants to focus on solo work and her future big events.
❝Hello, this is SM Entertainment.
We want to inform NCTzens something about NCT 127's comeback "LOVEHOLIC", that is supposed to be released in February of 2021.
SM staff and NCT's female member, Kinga, had a meeting last year, and had came to the conclusion that Kinga will be on hiatus during NCT 127 promotions this year to focus on her solo work and other big events for this year.
It was Kingas' wish and decision to do so, and we will respect her decision. So, "LOVEHOLIC" comeback will be promoted as a 9-member group, and as of now, 2021 promotions will continue as a 9-member group.

Many NCTzens and ChoiZone are very supportive of her decision, stating that "she needs to rest". Although it seems like Kinga won't be resting this year, fans are happy that at least her NCT promotions are cut down to let the idol rest.
