The first thing that pulled you out of your peaceful sleep was the slight knocking on the window, along with the pounding in your head and a heavy weight on your stomach. You had no idea how you had gotten to your bedchambers, or if Ivar was with you when you got there. In fact, you didn't remember a lot of things about last night-

You remembered the falcon, and the bonfire, and the people cheering for you.

And Ivar coming to find you.

And him kissing you-

That made you open your eyes as your heartbeat got faster in a second, the excitement shooting through your system as you looked down. Ivar seemed to have fallen asleep horizontally on the bed, half his body draped over yours, with his fingers almost touching the floor. Both you and he had fallen asleep in your clothes and you tried to move a little in the bed, but not only was it very uncomfortable due to your clothes, it was also very hard under his weight.

The knocking on the window got even more persistent as you tried to calm yourself down, then licked your lips, shaking Ivar slightly.

"Ivar," You whispered but for once he didn't seem to hear it. You heaved a deep sigh and tried to roll him over while wiggling out from under him, and at last he rolled over, turning on his stomach to keep sleeping. You tried to clear out your vision, yawning and almost tripped over the golden crown on the floor as soon as you took a step, but managed to find your balance. You stepped over it and made your way to the window, but as soon as you opened the curtain the bright sunlight shot through your eyes, making you hold a breath and close them again.

Oh God, why did it hurt this much?

You squinted your eyes and opened the curtain just enough for you to open the window to let the falcon in.

"Look at that, you're back," You whispered groggily as she flew to land on the furniture and you immediately closed the window and the curtains. You blindly reached for the small box you kept the small pieces of raw meat in, and placed couple of pieces in front of her before she started eating them, and you walked to the bed still half asleep.

Ivar moved beside you as soon as you buried your face into the pillow and the falcon cooed.

"Y/N..."

"Hm?"

"Make her stop."

"Show my falcon respect." You mumbled into the pillow and felt him sit up in bed the same time you heard the falcon flap her wings, then she landed on the heavy furs over your body. Ivar chuckled, while the sleep started luring you in again.

"Oh you like me now, hm?" He asked as you felt the falcon walk up the covers on your body towards Ivar, and you heaved a deep sigh, raising your head slightly from the pillow to look at them. Ivar looked almost amused by the falcon while she kept her glances on him, flapping her wings for only a moment before she stopped as he ran his fingers over the soft feathers.

You buried your face into the pillow, pulling the covers over you once again, desperate to get away from the terrible headache and out of the corner of your eye, you saw Ivar turning his head.

"Are you alright?"

"No." You muttered, but then raised your head from the pillow, your heart pounding against your chest as you pulled your brows together, keeping your gaze on him. Ivar shot you a questioning look.

"I did tell you not to drink that much," he defended himself, "If you will put the blame on-"

"Have you changed your mind?"

"Hm?"

"Have you changed your mind about last night?" You tried to keep your voice stable and he tilted his head to the right, a small smile playing on his lips.
