Swiftkill wasn't sure how long she had slept, but when she awoke there was food and water beside her. She immediately stood trying to become aware of her surroundings. There was a warm fire and several lamps around the her and soon she realised she was inside the building she had seen. Looking about she saw the female laying on a sofa, wrapped in a blanket. She took a step towards her and then realised her leg was strapped up. Panicking, Swiftkill started looking for an exit but the door was closed. The female started to stir and Swiftkill growled. Opening her eyes and realising the wolf was awake the female smiled. She slowly sat up and held out her hand moving towards Swiftkill. Swiftkill continued to growl, this time slightly louder. "It's ok, it's ok Wolfie, let me help you, you still need rest, you need to rest for your babies" the female said softly and pointed towards Swiftkill's tummy. Swiftkill was startled. How long had she been here, her tummy was swollen with the babies cubs inside growing rapidly. This female must have helped her. The female turned towards Swiftkill's leg "let me look Wolfie, let me see if your wounds are healed". Swiftkill stopped growling and sniffed at the female and lay back down. Slowly the female moved towards Swiftkill, showing her carefully each movement she was making. She unwound the bandages and removed the splint. Swiftkill immediately stood up, stretching and moving her legs. She was well again. The female pointed to the food "you need to eat more and drink" she encouraged you going to need your strength. Swiftkill quickly ate the meat and lapped up the water. It tasted good and fresh. Then she felt the female's hand stroke her head and back. Cautiously Swiftkill aloud the action, the female had looked after her, although it went against every instinct, she knew she could trust her. "Now rest again Wolfie, you're safe here" stated the female and returned to her sofa. Swiftkill moved closer to the fire and lay her head on her paws. She would stay, for now.
