"GRRRRRRRRRRR" roared the bear and rose up on to his hind legs from behind the bushes ahead. He was huge. Standing four times the size of the wolves and towering above them he roared again, his long claws protruding from his hairy paws. Swiftkill had no choice but to attack. She leap over the bush and jumped onto the bears back biting into his neck. The bear roared for a third time as the rest of the pack followed Swiftkill's lead and jumped onto the bear. He swung his arms about and wolves flew about in different directions flying into the forest. Swiftkill held her grip, biting deeper into the bears neck. Warm think blood filled her mouth. The bear let out a fourth roar and walked backwards into a tree knocking Swiftkill off her hold. She fell to the ground. The bear took the advantage and bit into her leg, raising her up and them flung her over towards another tree. Swiftkill yelped and tried to get up but immediately fell to the ground again. The bear stomped towards her, again roaring loudly. He towered above her, his paws outstretched, as his body came down Swiftkill heard a loud bang. The bear landed in front of her. Instinctively Swiftkill knew something was wrong. The bear didn't move but she heard the banging sound again and again. She dragged herself under the nearest bush and lay silently, waiting. A strange smell filled the air and through the forest she heard strange voices. Swiftkill dare not move to look around. Through the leaves she saw the legs of a creature. In his hand was a long metal thing that was cold and trailed smoke from the end. Immediately she recognised who it was. It was the wolves greatest enemy. It was man.
