"I need a phone charger."

Luke looked up from his laptop. "Don't have one."

"You know I can tell when you lie." I stated, putting my hands on my hip.

He raised his eyebrows with interest. "How?"

"You're eyes." I stated. "They give you away."

Luke tilted his head, and sat there staring into my eyes. He seemed bewildered with what I just said. I looked away from his intense gaze and went to sit down on the couch.

"You're eyes." He said softly to my retreating from. "They're beautiful."

Jacob groaned from the couch he was sleeping on. "Save the romantic comments for later, please. Some of us are trying to sleep." He grumbled, his eyes were still shut.

Luke turned away, his face slightly turning red. Was he blushing?

I flopped down next to Jacob with a loud sigh. I was imprisoned here with nothing to do.

A loud knock bellowed from the door, making Jacob jerk.

"Melissa!" Called out a voice I would recognize from anywhere.

Jacob rolled his eyes. "Your boyfriend, I'm assuming?"

Luke stood up from the table and opened the door. Mason came barging in, making my heart race.

"Melissa!" He put his arms around me like he hadn't seen me for years.

I smiled, releasing myself from his arms. I noticed a smaller figure behind Mason. A girl. She was short, with wild auburn curls that were all over the place.

I looked at Mason, then over at her with a questioning look.

She cleared her throat. "Hi." She waved. "I'm Megan."

Her eyes. There was something about her eyes. When you look into someone's eyes, you see all sorts of emotion; pain, love, happiness, anger, etc. But when you look at her eyes, you see absolutely nothing.

"Yeah," Mason broke into my thoughts. "She helped me find you." He said slyly.

I was confused. "How did she--"

"Megan!" Someone snapped from the open door. Megan froze.

Troy rushed through the cabins door with anger written all over his eyes.

"You told him?" Troy leaned over Megan. I realized his black eye when he got closer. Dang, Mason did a fine job. "Why the hell did you him?" Troy roared.

Megan's posture changed in an instant, becoming extremely calm again. She fixed her gaze on Mason. "He looked like a lost puppy without her." She shrugged.

Troy grew angrier. He started yelling at her more furiously, forgetting his surroundings. Forgetting us.

Luke brought his lips to my ear and whispered, "Run when you have the chance."

Mason took my hand and we rushed out the door.

We walked through the pitch black forest hand in hand.

"So you drives eight hours, with her, just to come here?" I asked revealing my jealousy.

"For you." He pointed out.

"But why did Troy tell where we were to her?" I held on tighter to Mason's hand as we walked to the car. "Who is she anyways?"

"She told me she was Troy's step sister." Mason responded.

"That makes sense. But something doesn't seem right about her." I shivered, it was cold outside. Where in the world was the car?

"We're almost there, don't worry." Mason said as he put his jacket around me.

"Mason." I paused.

"Yeah?"

"Maybe you are my superhero."

He laughed. "About time you admitted."
