Dan's POV:
I held Elizabeth to me, she was my baby girl. I needed her like I needed Phil. Me and Phil got in the car with Elizabeth and went to the police station to answer some questions.
"Were you guys married?" "Yes." "Is that your daughter?" "Yes and July is the mother." "Would you like to keep costudy of her?" "Yes." "Ok. We are done." We went home and mourned. We planned a funeral service for her. Elizabeth was going to not have a mother. I got a call and it was the police. They had found a note from July. She said that she loved us and she loved Elizabeth. I kinda miss her.
But, I have Phil now. Phil, if we get married, he could be Elizabeth's stepdad. We should just wait a couple months.
11 months later:
Phil's POV:
"Happy birthday ELIZABETH!" She was one. She ate her cake and enjoyed it happily. Dan pulled me into the center of everyone. He told me, "Phil. I love you. Elizabeth loves you. We are one happy family. The only thing though is that we are not married. Well, I want to change that. Philip Michael Lester, will you marry me?" "YES DAN YES!"
