in the darkness

but i rose
and i shone
like the brightest star in the sky
i walked
with my head held high
though at times low
i walked
through the dark and dangerous
without you
so do not tell me
that i need you
because if i did
i would have crumbled in the dark
but i did not
i survived
all of that without
