"why?" he asked his tail twitched

"so I could talk to Paton" Sam growled softly I found that sort of hot

Kitten grumbled and turned the radio on while Sam moved closer to me.

"I love you Paton" he whispered my eyes widen I haven't heard him say that to me in a long time.

"I love you too Sam" I whispered

"and I'm sorry for getting us into this I should of listened to you when you said you needed me" I continued grabbing his hands

He came closer and wrapped his arms around me, I laid my head on his chest listening to the music on the radio, he kissed my forehead and I smiled.

"will you take me back?" he whispered I lifted my head and looked at him smiling and nodding my head

He leaned forward and pressed his lips to mine, I grinned I missed this.

Sam held my hand while we scouted a closed grocery store, that we broke into. Since the gas station mission was a bust, I didn't get any food and I'm starving so we stopped here. Kitten grabbed a cart and Sam and I started to fill it up. There's a cabin that Sam and Kitten usually stay in when they're on the run, and it has no food. I haven't had a chance to get ahold of my family but I know they must be worried, all I have to do is let them know I'm safe, well sort of safe.

"whatcha thinking about?" I heard Sam asked while placing a huge container of water in the cart.

"nothing really" I responded giving him a small reassuring smile

His eyes changed from their normal purple color to grey, I didn't know what this color meant.

"if you say so" he replied

I looked behind Sam and saw Kitten eyeing the cat food his tail swaying from side to side.

"how long until we reach the cabin?" I questioned watching him continue to stack the cart with food I like

"we should be there by tomorrow morning" he replied pushing the cart away from the snack aile.

I followed down behind him and watched as Kitten unloaded a huge collection of wet cat food into the cart. I chuckled when Sam gave him a look.

"what?" Kitten asked

"what are you going to do with all that cat food?" he questioned pointing to the food

"well eat it duh" he said rolling guys eyes leading us out of the grocery store and to the van.

I walked into the cabin and was surprised, it was clean like someone lived here.

"Sam, Kitten?" I heard a females voice

"Amanda!" Kitten yelled jumping on the woman she giggled and hugged him tight

I raised an eyebrow, who is this woman?

"who is this?" she questioned looking at me, I was wondering the same thing

"this is Paton, they took him when they found us, again" Sam responded I frowned softly he didn't say I was his boyfriend.

I couldn't help but gasp when she gave Sam a small kiss on the lips before heading back into the kitchen, Sam followed.

What the fuck!?

Kitten saw my reaction and grabbed my hand leading me to the living room.

"don't over think it" he whispered

"how can I not?" I asked looking at the fireplace

"trust me " he said I didn't say anything when they both walked in

Sam sat on the couch and the woman sat on his lap, I tried so hard to keep my cool.

"so Paton how was it being a lab rat?" she asked Sam hit her gently

"what do you mean lab rat? They didn't test on me" I replied

"oh but I bet you were scared, I know I was, they did 600 experiments on me, not as much as Kitten or Sam though" she explained

I didn't pay her any attention

"hey Paton can you help me unpack" Sam said while Amanda got off of his lap

I followed him to the bedrooms in the back, he closed the door behind me.

"now I know what you are thinking" he began I sat on the bed my arms crossed over my chest

"please Sam tell me what I'm thinking" I responded

"I'm not in love with her" he said I rolled my eyes

"so what? Was I just a sound thing?" I asked

"she is crazy, literally the only reason I'm still with her, is because if I break her heart then she will kick us out and tell the men in white where we are, so I have to keep pretend, to keep you safe" he explained grabbing my hands pulling me up close to his chest.

"I love you Paton" he whispered his nose was brushing against mine

I sighed softly squeezing his hands

"don't make me regret this please" I whispered he gave me a small smile and a kiss on the lips, a passionate one to add.

He smiled and opened the door and we walked out.

"and this is Kitten and Paton's room" Amanda said pointing to a vacant room

"where is Sam going to sleep?" I asked eyeing the Devils daughter

"Well with me of course" she responded grabbing his hand and walking out the room.

I looked over at Kitten who was sitting on the window seal his tail swinging from side to side.

"just let it happen" he muttered his trained on the window seal watching a fly, mind it's own business.

"how can I just let it happen?" I questioned sitting on the bed my arms crossed over my chest.

"listen if you don't, she will rat us out to the men in white and we all will be dead" he explained jumping from the window and walking to the door.

Just let it happen?
