Jake POV

"Oh my gods Jake! How did you do that?" screamed Evan

"What?" I said confused

My friends Evan, Melody, Amanda and Raymond looked at me incredulously.

"Idiot" muttered Amanda before pointing at my hands.

I looked down to see that I had made a dagger than can transform into a disc out of some spare celestial bronze pieces in my tool belt.

What's wrong with- oh right...there's no more mist.

Well Hades

"It's nothing" I muttered, shoving it into my pocket quickly.

My friends looked at me incredulously.

"Uh dude I don't think that was nothing" said Raymond, grabbing me from making a quick escape.

"It's nothing" I insisted

"Come on let's get to class" I told them

They gave me a weird look.

"Since when were you so eager to learn"

"Let's just go" I said

What they said is true but today there's gonna be a new teacher in mechanics. I wonder who it'll be. I hope the new teacher is actually good in the subject.

I rushed and took a seat next to Evan.

Then the new teacher walked in.

He had blonde hair and blue eyes- wait a minute APOLLO!!!

What the Hades is he doing here?

"Hello class. My name is Mr Bright. I am your new teacher for now." He said

Is he kidding me? Mr Bright?

Of all the names he could think of.

At least it was better than dads. I mean seriously Mr Festus!

"Uh just do what you were working on last time" he said uncertainly

Does he even know anything about the topic?

Nonetheless we got out last project. It was simple. It was just a digital clock. I've done mine ages ago so I just put my finished clock on my desk.

I raised my hand in the air.

"What do we do if we've done it?" I asked him

"Uh you could...could...uh...maybe...just open your textbook and read up. Yeah that's it. Read your textbook." He said

"We don't have a textbook" I told him.

"Then you could bring it here for me to check it" he said triumphantly.

"Okay" I replied

Then I got up and gave it to him.

He unscrewed the back and looked at it with the most confused look on his face.

"So?" I asked him

"Oh my gods. Hephaestus what in Hades is this?" He screamed at the sky

The thunder rumbled in response and the students looked up in fear.

"Aha I got it!" He practically shouted in my ear.

He snapped his finger and the instructions popped out in the air looking like there was a screen there.

The idiot! He's supposed to be undercover.

The students gaped and bowed down to him.

He looked at them confused then his face morphed into a look of realization before screaming

"Dammit Hermes! Now I owe you 50 drachmas! The mortals weren't supposed to find out!"

I couldn't help but laugh at him. It was all just a bet.

"Shut up Mason! It's not even that funny" he whined

"You're an idiot" I told him

The mortals looked at me in wonder and suspicion.

Probably thinking why I wasn't blasted to bits.

He glared at me playfully and said " Yeah yeah I know. Your dad has called me that too many times."

"So I'll be going now. Oh yeah Jake can I have that dagger?" He asked me

"Yeah sure" I replied

I dug it out of my pocket and gave it to him.

He pressed the button and it transformed into a celestial bronze dagger.

"Sweet! Thanks dude!" He said flashing me a grin before disappearing in a flash of golden light.

I turned around only to face angry, amazed, scared and confused mortals.

Oh Styx.

Dear gods please help me.

"Umm hi?" I said nervously
