Chapter 39
"Dude, yang nguso mo kasing haba na ng Golden Gate Bridge." Jax laughed. I glared at him and he just laughed harder.
"What happened?" Exel asked.
"Julie hasn't answered any of my texts yet and her phone's off." I muttered. The three of them laughed and Brent even patted my back.
"Well, I guess she's having the time of her life already." Brent said.
"Oh yeah! Maybe there's some guy in the beach that caught her attention." Exel whistled.
"Will you just shut up?!" I said, annoyed. "You're not helping okay? I'm getting worried already and yet you kept on kidding me."
"Elmo the Grouch is here." I heard Jax whispered to Exel. I glared at them and they both raised their hands in mock surrender.
"Maybe they're in an isolated area. Don't be paranoid dude. Let Julie enjoy her vacation." Brent said.
"I am letting her enjoy. But she should've atleast texted me." I said.
"How can she text you if she has no signal? Maybe the reason she turned her phone off is because she doesn't want it drained. Maybe there is no electricity available as well."
"Whatever." I said.
I stood up from the couch and flopped down my bed. There are a million ways to let me know, Julie Anne. You could've atleast called Manila and ask my sister to tell me that you have no signal. Or you could've told me that you're going to that isolated island so that I am aware that you won't be messaging me for the next 3 days. This is torture Julie! Torture!!
"Dude, that bed is expensive. Let's try not to ruin anything in this room shall we?" Brent said. I looked at my bed and found the bedsheets removed.
"Sorry." I said. "Nakakainis kasi! There are so many ways she could reach me!" I said.
"Pre, alam mo ba meaning ng isolated island? No signals, no electricity, no nothing. Sa tingin mo ba may phone dun na pwedeng magamit para tawagan ka niya?! Stupid, man!" Jax said and even slapped my head.
"What the fuck's wrong with you?!" I asked, annoyed.
He just laughed as he goes back to the couch and played with Exel again.
"Bro, wag mong masyadong isipin si Julie. Baka di mag-enjoy yun dun." Exel said.
"Yeah. And malay mo makahanap siya ng lugar na may signal. Swertehin ka pa." Jax added.
"Or maybe you can just google her place. Baka sakaling maintindihan mo ang ibig sabihin ng isolated island." Brent said.
"Fuck you all." I grumbled.
"Fuck you too, moron." the three said in unison.
I stayed in bed as the three of them took turns in playing the game console in our hotel room. They were laughing and trash talking each other every game.
"Guys, lunch daw muna." Giant said when he bursted in.
"Alright! Finally! Some good news." Jax laughed. "Let's go loner."
I stood up from bed and Brent placed her arm over my shoulder.
"Come on, buddy. I'm sure Julie's got a good reason about that." he said, patting my back. I just nodded and followed them to the elevator.
I didn't eat a lot. Medyo nag-aalala pa rin ako kay Julie. I don't know if they even arrived safely. Ugh! This is madness!
"What's wrong lover boy?" Giant asked.
