I still feel your presence in
These walls.
Your broken soul speaks
To me.
You reside within my house,
Here in my heart.
You left long ago,
And the dust lays thick on
This bed.
Its sheets lie neat and still,
Much like the burning image
Of your lifeless body in my mind.
Skin as cold as ice,
Eyes as dull as grey clouds.
The way you looked tore
Me apart.
It sent my mind to places
It's never been before.
I'm not sure I want
To return.
