Part 56✨

Y/n's POV:

I walk quickly to the small cafe, jogging slightly as it came into view. I check the time on my phone before pushing the door open, a little bell signalling that I had walked in. Two pairs of eyes immediately land on me as I hastily walk over to them. They both sat silently in one of the booths,  at least a metre apart from one another, both with their arms crossed. I smile at them apologetically before sitting in between them after Chani had stood up to let me slide into the seat.
"Sorry I'm late, I got held up at the dorm" I apologise, thinking back to Jisoo yelling at Piper over a broken glass. They both smile at me and dismiss my apology,
"It's okay it was only five minutes, we weren't waiting long" Chani says as he smiles at me softly, his eyes lingering on my face for a few seconds. I blush slightly under his stare but quickly regain my composure when Jaemin speaks,
"So did you want to order drinks and food?" He asks causing me to quickly look over to him. Chani sighs and taps the table out of annoyance, not liking that I was giving Jaemin more of my attention.

Chani and I tell Jaemin what we would like after he had offered to pay and he leaves the table to go order everything. Chani immediately turns his head to me and gives me an annoyed look,
"Why did you invite him?" He whines. I sigh and smile apologetically at him,
"Because he's been asking for a while and I thought it would be nice for all of us to go out after all of the work we put into the choreography" I say, receiving a huff from Chani. He rolls his eyes and places his arms on the table, leaning down and resting his chin on top of his forearms. I lightly nudge his arm,
"Why do you hate him so much anyway? There's always so much tension between the both of you" I ask as I look down at him, raising my eyebrow as I wait for an answer. He sighs and looks up at me, keeping his head down,
"It's a long story, let's just say we have a complicated history" he says, casting his eyes towards Jaemin currently flirting with the cafe's cashier. I nod slowly and keep quiet, knowing that I'll harass him for answers later.

~20 minutes later~

We all received our food not long after Jaemin had ordered it and were currently eating quietly. I stop chewing when I feel a hand on my thigh, after the initial surprise of the touch, I continue eating knowing that it was only Chani. A few seconds later my eyes widen and I choke a little on my food, realising that the hand was placed on my right thigh and Chani was sitting on my left side, meaning that it was Jaemin's hand not Chani's. I quickly look at Chani to see if he noticed what was happening. He was scrolling on his phone with his drink in his other hand, oblivious to his surroundings. I swallow the food in my mouth and slowly look down at Jaemin's hand before looking up at him. He was eating peacefully next to me, unaware of my eyes on him. I gulp and look back down at his hand, reaching down and placing my own hand over his to lift it up and place it on his own leg. At the feeling of me touching his hand, he looks at me and then down at his leg. He goes to place his hand back on my thigh but I quickly push it away,
"Stop" I say, louder than I thought, gaining the attention of a few people in the cafe. Jaemin pulls his hand back and Chani quickly looks over at us, placing his phone on the table.

I stare at Jaemin's hand for a few seconds, sitting quietly as both males stare at me.
"Sorry" Jaemin mumbled quietly causing me to look up at him, furrowing my brows as we make eye contact.
"Y/n? Are you okay?" Chani asks from beside me, worry lacing his voice. I hesitate before nodding slowly,
"I- yeah I'm okay, sorry I think I need to go, I'll see you both tomorrow.." I say before standing up abruptly and leaving the table in a rush. Chani and Jaemin sit silently as they watch me leave the cafe, the little bell above the door ringing when I push myself through it.

I'm so sorry I haven't posted in awhile, to be honest I just haven't known what to write and I think I might end this book soon and start a new one but don't worry I won't leave this book unfinished :) hopefully over the next two weeks I'll be posting more regularly✨
