Kennedy (Also now known as Ashley):

~Two weeks later~

"You sure you're going to be okay?" Dylan asks as he stops the car. I shift in the seat of his car to look at him. I had told Dylan about the whole dad and Kory relationship. He was super nice about it and didn't say much about it, only asked me if I was okay with any of this or not. It seemed like tenth time that i've been going back and forth to an airport. But spending the last two weeks back home in Seattle was worth it, I called my actual aunt Jamie and even talked to her for a bit.

She's going on a trip to Spain with her boyfriend of almost twelve years now. See, aunt Jamie got married ages ago and had two lovely kids, Caroline and Ian, who are my coursins. But about four years into the marriage she found out her husband, now ex husband, Aiden the asshole as she likes to call him, was seeing someone behind her back for years. And by years I mean even before they got married. I guess you could say that my mom's side of the family had bad luck with marriage. Go figure.

Anyway, she met Owen a few years later, a little bit before I moved in with her and was put under her custody. Her daughther Caroline, who was the oldest from the two siblings, was maybe finishing her last year of high school and Ian, her younger brother, was in his sophmore year. Ian, Caroline and I were super close. They were like my siblings. Yes, I had grown up with Ashley, Zachery, Ross, Isabel and.... Carter but I did move around freshman year to Seattle to live with my aunt. I was still close with my siblings, we talked a lot but visiting each other was rare expet on special ocassions.

Back to the story, now Aunt Jamie and Owen are hopelessly in love and he is so sweet and kind to her but the reason why they sill aren't married is because Owen was also cheated on with his ex wife. He ended the marrige when he found out that she was seeing someone behind his back. The woman had sëx with the man and, obviously, kept the kid so she could start another family. Owen didn't talk much about his ex wife around us kids at the time so the reason I know about this stuff is because Aunt Jamie told me in private. Till this day, neither of them were actually looking into getting married. Yes, they did live together and yes, they were happy together but I just guess that marriage isn't really the first thing on their mind.

Aunt Jamie and Owen both act like a married couple already so I guess they don't see a reason why they would have to prove it. They don't have to make it official, they believe they are better off as they are now. And Caroline, Ian and I respect that.

My aunt destests my dad because she thinks it's pratily his fault for what happened to her sister but she eventually moved to let it go. She met Owen during her dark days of her sister's death and I'm more than happy for her. So bassically, I grew up with my aunt, her boyfriend and her two kids for a good few years of my life. I met Dylan, worked at the book store, went to school and applied for University. Where as my other siblings grew up without a motherly figure. Zachery owns his own company, Ashley is dating a famous singer, Isabel is focusing on dance and her own love life and Ross is having fun being young. It was cool to see how close we still are even though I was away from them for years. Sure, Ash and Isabel don't get along for the fact Ash slept with Isabel's ex boyfriend but the rest of us actually do get along.

When Carter left and when mom was gone, we kinda all just split. I had made the choice to go live with Aunt Jamie where as my other siblings decided to stay. I needed to get away, leave the bad memories behind. Around the time of my mother's death, Zachery was probably finishing his last year of high school or he was already started University, I don't exactly remember. Ross was depressed for a few years and Isabel stayed quiet. Ashley didn't talk much about our mother and just continued with life as if her death never happened.

I honestly don't know how she does it.

~

I stared at the door for a long time, as if I was having a stare down. I brought my fist up and quickly dropped it. Breath in and out, Kennedy. If you aren't going to knock, just ring the damn doorbell!

My finger pressed the little button and the sound of our door bell played. I waited a few minutes before the door was opened to reveal, Kris, one of the house maids. "Miss King, welcome home!" She squeled, pulling me into a hug. I hugged her back and acted as if I was super excited, not that I wasn't. I could be back home as, Kennedy. Not Ashley, just Kennedy. I was glad that Kris didn't catch on and think I was Ashley. I think the whole dyeing my hair brown was a good idea.

"Come in, dear! Your father will be so happy to see you, he has great news to tell the family tonight!" She squeals. I try to swallow the lump in my throat. Oh Kris, if only you knew.

My dad entered to the entrance of his giant house with his happy brown eyes fixed on me, the biggest grin on his face. "Kennedy, my girl!" He hugged me tightly and I wrap my arms around him. "Hi,"

He pulled away and examined my face, "Wow, you've grown up so much these past few years! How's Seattle? You know what, tell us everything at dinner! The whole family is going to be here." He rambles excitedly. Wow he must really be excited for his future with Kory. I just smile and keep my mouth shut before I could spit out the rudest things about this whole marriage. It was weird to think that my own cousin might be my future step mom. Argh.

"Holy shit, Kennedy!" A familiar voice shouts. Ross runs down the stairs, his brown eyes bright and happy like my dads. His blonde hair was sticking onto his forehead, bouncing in the air a bit as he  jumped off the last step. He embraced me into his arms. "Wow I missed you. How long are you staying here for?"

"About a week." I smile. "Cool, things are starting to finally clear up a bit here, maybe you could, you know, come back home?" His voice cracked a bit as he suggested the idea. I gave him a sad smile. If only you knew, Ross.

Soon Isabel had come down to greet me with Parker, her boyfriend, as I presumed. "Park, this is the better twin, Kennedy." She giggled sweetly. I laugh and shook my head at her. She didn't have her Taylor momsen look on today. She was wearing leather pants and a peplum top, her blonde hair casscading down her shoulders. Ross and Isabel looked alike. They both had our dads eyes but our mother's hair. Zachery had our mom's blue eyes but our dad's light brown hair. "When does Zach get here?" I ask, anxious to see my older brother whom I haven't seen in almost three years now. He was so busy these days that when I did see my family on those very special days he woudn't even be there.

"He's getting here in time for dinner tonight. Justin is also joining us tonight in place of your sister." Dad informed.

"Okay."

"You remember you're way to your bedroom, right?"

"Yeah, I'll make myself comfortable until dinner."

I grab my things and Ross helps me. We walk to my room, talking a bit about his up coming soccer games. When we reach my room, Ross places my things down and leaves to take a shower. i plop done onto the bed and decide to close my eyes for a bit.
