Tumakbo papalapit sa akin si Jacreio na katatapos lamang maligo sa pool at bihis na ng panibagong damit.

"Thanks, 'Ya," ngumiti at tumango sa akin si Yaya Olie.

"Mommy.." he crawled on the lounger and sat on my lap before he hugged me.

"Why?" binuhat ko siya ng tumayo ako.

I slowly swung myself from side to side because I know that he's sleepy right now lalo pa na kaliligo lamang niya sa pool at siguradong napagod.

He rested his head on my shoulder.

I hummed and lightly tapped his back.

Naglakad ako papasok ng bahay at tumaas papunta sa kwarto ni Jacreio.

I swung myself more hanggang sa marinig ko na ang malalim na pag-hinga ng anak ko, tulog na.

I lie him down the bed and rolled up the blanket to cover up his body then I fixed the pillow under his head and on his sides.

I lie beside him and hugged him.

"I love you."

And later on, I already fell asleep.

Nagising ako ng medyo gumalaw sa tabi ko ang anak ko.

I opened my eyes and looked at my watch. It's already five in the afternoon.

I went off the bed and washed my face in the room's bathroom.

Inayos ko muna ang posisyon ng anak ko sa kama dahil baka mahulog ito. Tatawagin ko na lang si Yaya Olie para bantayan muna si Jacreio at baba lang ako baka kasi nandiyan na si Kuya.

But when I checked at my phone, I didn't receive any reply from my brother.

I shook my head and sighed before I got out of the room.

Bumaba ako at hinanap si Yaya Olie.

"Ya?" I called her but the sala was quiet. Maybe my parents are still resting right now.

Pinagod din kasi sila ni Jacreio kanina lalo na si Daddy.

I heard a sound from the kitchen kaya't pumunta ako doon.

"Yaya, pabantay po muna kay—"

Literal na napaatras ako at gustong umurong pabalik sa kwarto ni Jacreio ng tuluyan na akong makapasok sa kusina.

My eyes widened and my lips parted in shock.

But looks like my sudden presence was just nothing for him.

Like it's normal for him to see me around here in our house.

Linipat ko ang tingin kay Kuya na mukhang nagulat din sa biglaan kong pag-sulpot at napatingin sa kanya!

My gaze went back to him but he already looked away from me and continued..

..smoking.

"U-Uh, I'm sorry. I thought Yaya is here. E-Excuse me."

One last glance at him before I finally ran out of the kitchen.

Napabuga ako ng hangin na kanina ko pa pala pinipigilan.

I just SAW him there!

What is he doing here?

Hindi ba alam ni Kuya na nandito kami ni Jacreio?!

Oh my god!

I'm totally freaking out now!

"Mommy.. we're staying here for tonight?"
