Jason had cancelled on date night for whatever reason, which was weird. He'd been doing that since Rose started staying with us. Every time that he cancelled, I could hear ridiculously loud music in his room. Why was he cancelling on me to listen to music?
I decided I'd had enough and that we needed to talk this through. I went to his room, and took a deep breath in. I opened the door on my exhale.
There, I saw Rose and Jason making out. He held her like she was his whole world, the way he held me. I let out a gasp, and slammed the door. I heard a string of cuss words from inside as I ran to my room.
On my way, I bumped into Dawn. She saw my tear stricken face and immediately pulled me into her room. "Hey hey, what's wrong?" She cupped my face.
"Jason- Rose!" I sobbed harder. She seemed to understand, and pulled me in for a long hug. Of course, I knew this was only a distraction.
