“Bel, I need to get a girlfriend!”

“Sure.”

“You’ll help me find one?”

“You want me to find you a girlfriend?”

“Yeah. What do you think of Haley? She looks good.”

“She!!! She ain’t real. Her whole personality is fake. She dies her hair, wear contacts and believe me she is not D cup.”

“How about Casey?”

“Why don’t you just ask me out?”

“You are my best friend. That would be weird.”

“Not as weird as dating a lesbian.”

“Casey is a lesbian?”

“She ain’t gonna be able to love you like I will.”

“Who’s she?”

“She is…I don’t know. She must be new.”

“Cool, a stranger. Our school needed a new girl. I should go talk to her.”

“There is somewhere else we need to be.” “You and I have history, don’t you remember.”

“Yeah, history. Let’s go.” He grunted.

George’s lips formed a smile when he saw the new girl sitting alone in the history class.

“Hi, I’m George.”  He said sliding into the next seat.

“Anna.”

“First day?”

“Yeah.”

“Hi, I’m Isobel.” Bel said from the back seat.

“Hi.”

George and Anna spent most of the class talking as history was never interesting.

“She is great; smart, funny, hot.” George said as he and Bel walked to the next class. Anna had a different class, so she went in the opposite direction.

“Sure, she’s got it all. But is that what you really want?”

“What do you mean?”

“She is not really your type.”

“I think she is perfect. I’m gonna ask her out.”

“George, I love you and all that, but your head is in the clouds. Come down. She is too good for you. I don’t want her making a fool out of you.”

“She made my heart melt.”

“And yet you are cold to the core.”

“George, I heard that she is going out with Luke Sanders.”

“Who told you?”

“Just the grapewine.”

“Rumors are not always true. She is going out with me.”

“You asked her out?”

“Don’t be so shocked, now Bell.”

“Where are you taking her?”

“Saturday night concert.”

“I thought we were going.”

“And now I have date. Isn’t it great?”

“Yeah! Great.”
