Chapter 3

Rj's POV

I got blood who ain't family and family who ain't blood but that's just how it is.

It's been 2 months since my pops died and 3 weeks since my brother died. And the crazy thing is they both died infront of me. People think I'm cold hearted but I'm not well, I don't think I am I just been through a lot and seen so much shit happen.

Just imagine watching your dad get a gun pulled on him and shot right infront of you. It was an act of police brutality too. He was shot in the back which fucked up his spine.

He couldn't do anything. I thought he was gonna be fine you know? I'd rather have him alive and paralyzed than him dead. But a few weeks later he passed away because of internal bleeding.

Then, a couple weeks later I was driving around late at night with my brother coming from a party and couple niggas pull up right next to us and shot him, in the head. I caught a bullet to the shoulder but it wasn't shit. I wasn't worried about myself. Shit, I wish it was me instead of him.

I bottled up most of my emotions. I don't like thinking about it because it pisses me off that I can't do anything about it without getting in trouble and makes me sick to the stomach. I always go to visit their graves but I don't like going with other people. Like my dysfunctional ass family.

I thought that they would all be there at my brother and pops funeral but they weren't. Just me , my nigga Kevin, my mama, grandparents and my lil sister Raine.

Blood ain't shit.

Most my uncles already wanted my dad dead and their bitch asses got what they wanted. Ever since my pops and bro died, money hasn't been coming in lately so I took it into my own hands.

I been selling weed for 2 years for this nigga we call Dre but, I need more money. So I decided to upgrade and sell cocaine now. My brother Rodney used to sell with me and so did my pops. But I'm just trying to provide for my family, the one that actually cares bout me.
