Oh how easy it would be to just run
No not for fun
Just to run
How easy would it be to say I'm done
Just run
You fight, argue, and cannot see
Your daughter is huddled in the corner
She is nothing more but a mourner
She's losing but needs to be stronger
Please don't make this night any longer
Just run
No not for fun
Just run
She'll walk out the door
Instead of being on the floor
Do this
Do that
So many chores
Whats that
You're getting fat
What a attention seeking whore
Just run
No not for fun
Just run
She covers her ears
No she doesn't want to hear
The cruel words from her father
Toward her innocent mother
Just run
No not for fun
Just run
Going out again
To the bar
Hop in the car
What a fun time we are having
Is this real,
Can your heart finally feel?
Do not run
Unless for fun
But do not run
Heres my favorite part
We get home there is no heart
You drink and drink,
But do you even think?
Words out of your mouth
Shouldn't have been said
Running through your daughters head
Just run
No not for fun
Just run
Dad's arguing with mom
Yet another exploded bomb
They could never just stay calm
Rose petals in your daughter's palm
Just run
No not for fun
Just run
He loves me;
He loves me not
What a never ending thought
In a spider web she is caught
Just run
No not for fun
Just run
All the love that once has last
Is all but thrown in the past
Tears are streaming
She is heaving
Cover your ears
Get away from your fears
Her thoughts are just too loud
Words put in her head
Will only stop when she is dead
Can't think
Hardly speak
Another shriek
Turn the other cheek
Hair in a bun
Tears are none
She is done
Get up and run
Out the door
Feel the sun
Just Run.
