Today was our first anniversary. I couldn't believe that me and Jack had been married for a year. I woke up early today to make a special dinner for us and to wish him happy anniversary only to find his side of the bed empty. 

He was gone without kissing me good morning like he usually does.I know that lately he has been stressed about a deal that is not going through and that has made him be a little distant with me to. I just can't wait till this deal is sealed and we can continue with our lives like we did before this project. Jack was a player before he met me and at the beginning I thought he was playing with me to but I am happy that we worked out and now we are happily married. I couldn't ask for a better husband. We married within 6 months of knowing each other and even though I knew it was too fast sometimes you take that leap of faith when you find your true love. We decided that we wanted to build a family sooner than later and I had quit college and now we were trying to get pregnant and have at least two children. I would be a stay at home mom for the first years of their life then I would start taking classes again when they were old enough to go to school.

I got off the bed after thinking how lucky I was having Jack in my life and I went to brush me teeth and fix me hair. I usually didn't apply any makeup because Jack always told me that I didn't need any and that I was beautiful just the way I was. I loved him for that, he loved me for who I was.I wore a pair of black skinny jeans a white shirt and my Uggs. I threw a white jacket on and made my way out of our penthouse and towards the garage. 

I got in on my white Mercedes, a birthday gift from Jack, and drove to the bakery to pick up the cake that I ordered for our anniversary. 

After a 15 minute drive I stopped in front of "A Taste of Heaven" bakery and got of my car.

"Hi I am here to pick up a cake for Nicole Ryder" I said to the friendly girl behind the counter.

"The cake came out very nice, I hope you like it" she said before disappearing behind a door and showing up with a beautiful cake after two minutes.

I was grinning like an idiot the second I saw the cake. It was perfect, just like I imagined. I couldn't wait to see Jack's face when he saw the cake. Our initials N and J were made out of cake with white frosting and they surrounded a red heart shaped cake N❤️J.

"Thank you, thank you so much, he will love it" I said before paying and taking the cake with me. I drove home like a snail afraid that I would ruin the cake if drove too fast. I got a few people mad but I was so happy that nothing could ruin my good mood.

I went home to put the cake in the fridge and start preparing the rest of my surprise for him. Since I didn't work and didn't have any money myself I thought it was stupid to buy him a present with his money so I got creative instead. I loved taking photos so I took out every single photo that we had as a couple and I spelled "Happy Anniversary, I Love You " in the wall with our pictures. It took me a couple of hours to do that and by lunch time I was exhausted. The end result it was worth it. I took a picture of it and saved in my phone and went to make dinner ready since Jack usually comes home at 4. I wanted to dress up for him so I went out to do my hair and makeup and by the time I was done I looked like I was a model stepping out of a magazine.
I was wearing a green dress and black pumps,my hair was straight far from the usual wavy one and I was wearing natural eyeshadow and a dark red lipstick.
Our maid had made the table ready after cooking a delicious meal and I gave her and all the staff the rest of the day off. When they left I turned off the lights and lighted a dozen or more of scented candles around the room to give it a romantic feel. I even turned on the gas fireplace and watched how everything looked perfect.
